はじめまして、初めて投稿させていただきます。 「彼が財布の中に幾ら入ってるか聞かれたとき、彼はなんと答えましたか？」 を英文に直したいのですが、さっぱり分かりません。 When he was asked how many money in his wallet,what did he answer about it? この英文は正しいのでしょうか？ how many money in his wolletに動詞は必要なのでしょうか？ こっちの英文の方が適切だよ、というのがありましたら教えて下さい。 よろしくお願いします。

Tom made his daughter a toy horse with some straw and bamboo twigs. この文を、SVO ＋前置詞＋Oの形にする問題で、 Tom made a toy horse with some straw and bamboo twigs for his daughter. と書き換えたのですが、答えは、with ～twigsの部分が文末にきて、Tom made a toy horse for his daughter with ～twigs. となっているのですが、with以下は、a toy horse にかかっているので切り離さないほうがいいのではないでしょうか？

Mike was sitting in (on) the (a) sofa with his legs crossed. などが、解答などから考えられるのですが、 確認したいこと(1) with his crossed legs とin (on) the(a) sofaのそれぞれの句が前にくるのか後ろにくるのかはどっちでもいいのでは？と思っています。どうなのでしょう？ (2)with his legs crossed.がwith his crossed legs なのではないのか？と思っています。 crossed過去分詞一語の形容詞的用法では his とlegsの間に入るべきでは？と考えています。どうなのでしょう？ (3)in(on)や the (a)はこれだけしか日本語文をあたえられていないのでは、どちらでもありだと思っています。 よろしくお願いいたします。

(4)The man was sitting surrounded with his children. のどれで表現できるのでしょうか？ 「座っていた」は、過去形、過去進行形のどちらが適切なのか、分詞 surrounded のあとに置かれる前置詞は by と with どちらが適切なのか、ニュアンスの違いなどもあれば教えていただけると助かります。 いろいろ調べてみたのですが、思うような内容を見つけられず、またこちらの質問箱に頼ってしまいました。 どなたかよろしくお願い致します。
