Merchants can build their own sales force as well. あるマルチ商法の手法を解説した英文です。 以下の２点についてわからないので、全然訳せません。 ・consumer rebatesとcash rebatesの違い ……２段落目、カンマの後、theseは１段落目の最後の「The rebates」ですよね？これは保証されていないconsumer rebatesですよね？にもかかわらず巨額の現金割引（hefty cash rebates）を得る？rebatesは割引と訳さない方がいい？ ・２段落目のtheyは組織名を指しているのか、merchantsを指しているのか ……「rebatesが保証されていないにも関わらず、彼らは」ですからmerchantsですよね？でもそれなら申し込みをしたmerchantsが儲かって、組織XXXは儲からない？ ということで実は全然わかりません。 お助けください。

おおむねそれでイイと思います。 （80万で仕入れたものを100万で）大量に売りさばいたりすることができるからだ。 (↑)実際は販売数量(又は金額)実績が大きくなれば、仕入れ金額が、上記の例では、10万円で仕入れ、次のメンバーに25万円、それを35万円、それから、45万円、、、、と、各メンバーがそれなりのマージンを得る仕組み、、、、但し、各人のリベートは、最終販売価格で売れた場合のみ、各人へ分配される仕組み、、、一般に100万円最終価格商品の仕入れ価格は10~15万円が普通と思われる。→これは各メンバーにマージンを分配する必要があるため。 その様な仕組みですから、最終販売代金が決済されない限りは、「販売割戻金」は何ら保証されるモノではありません。 詳しくは「マルチ商法」などでググって下さい。 追伸:この英文文面はとてもおおざっぱなもので、マルチ商法をその細部にわたって説明したモノではないようですね。

すみません、本当にありがとうございます。 consumer rebatesとcash rebatesがよくわからなくて、 ついでにrebatesの訳し方がよくわからなくて、まだ悩んでます。 割引価格でものを購入するために、販売者として契約をする。 割り引かれた分は他の買い物に使うことも、現金化することもできる。 ただし、この割引分は保証されない。 にも関わらず何らかの多額な見返り（現金）を得ることができる。 つまり……ものすごい意訳ですが、 販売者になることにより仕入れ価格で購入できるわけですから、たとえば100万のものを80万で買うことができる、と。 で、割り引かれた分の20万は他の商品の購入にも使えるし、現金化することもできる。 ただし、この20万は保証されるわけではない。 それにも関わらず、多額の見返りを得ることができる。 例えばそれは販売部隊を作ることによって（80万で仕入れたものを100万で）大量に売りさばいたりすることができるからだ。 というようなことが書いてあるんでしょうか。 「割引分は保証されない」ってところは重要な部分になるのでしょうか。 本当にすみません。 知人がこのマルチに引っかかってまして、おかしなところをきちんと説明したくて。
