英文の疑問

英文の疑問点があります。 ご回答よろしくお願いします。 １． We would appreciate receiving your comments on the report about the possibility of entering the Chinese market. 訳 中国市場参入の可能性に関する報告書にご意見をいただいたことに対し、お礼申し上げます。 このwouldの用法と意味を教えてください。 ２． The president was pleased with the results of the sales campaign because it would lead to increase in corporate profits. 訳 社長は、企業収益の増加につながるとして、その販売キャンペーンの結果に喜んでいました。 ある本に書かれている文です。 このwouldは主節の時制に合わせてwillがwouldになったのでしょうが、 そもそも従属節にwillは使えるのでしょうか。 以上、どうぞ宜しくお願いします。

1の would appreciate はこれからしてもらうことに対して使います。従って訳がおかしいです。「中国市場参入の可能性に関する報告書にご意見をいただければ幸いです。」にすべき。もしくは訳に合わせるならwouldを削除する必要があります。 2はおっしゃる通り時制の一致でwillがwouldになったと考えて良いです。従属節でもwillは使えます。
