需要の弾力性
Question: When demand curve is P=100-2Q, and when Q=25, what is elasticity? Answer : p=100-2Q p=100-2(25) = 50 P/Q = 50/25 * -0.5 = -1 授業で上記が例としてあげられていたのですが、-0.5がどこから出てきたのかよく理解できません。教えてください。

If the sum of these two elasticities is less than unity, then a devaluation will lead to a deterioration of the current account.

Given an upward sloped supply curve, the market equilibrium price will rise. 問題自体は難しくはないのですが、positively slopedとは”＋に傾斜”という解釈で良いのでしょうか？ このpositively slopedの意味がつかみにくいです。 需要が上がれば、需要曲線は右にシフトするので価格が上がると思うのですが、右シフトのことをpositively slopedとさしているんだろうと思い、正解だと思っていたのですが、回答では間違えとなっているので、混乱しています。 もしもわかりましたら、教えていただけますでしょうか。

英文解釈の参考書に It is not a question of what you can do but of when you can do it. (君に何ができるかではなく、それができる時期が問題だ。) とありました。 私は、 It is a question of what you can do but of when you can do it. という英文を作ると、上述の和訳の意味になるような気がしてしまうのです。なぜ、最初に書いた英文が、その直後の和訳になるのでしょうか？
