英訳の修正をお願いします(メールの文です)

そういえばあなたは、日本のアーティストのことよく知っているけどなんでそんなに詳しいの？

多分私の友達のゲン君は今年の７月に短期留学に行くと思うけど、他にまだ誰が短期留学に行くかわからないんだよ。
私の周りに行きたいと言っている友達はたくさんいます。しかし彼らは行くことができないでしょう。なぜなら、すごい留学の費用が高いからです。

could の方がよく気もするかな。でもcanでもいいかな。

何でそんなに詳しいの？ -> How come?
でも良いけど、日本語的には「何でよ？」みたいな感じかも。

I have many of my friends would like
はちょっと変な気もする、この文章ならhave入れるなら many ofは入らない。
would likeは丁寧な言い方、How come とか why is it とかのようなラフな言い方をした後で使うには不自然すぎる。
普通に I have many friends who want to goでも良いし、短くしたいなら friends wanting to goでもいい。
もしくは、Many of my friends want to go if possible, but
で続けてもいいんじゃないかと。

ここでのif possible はしつこい。こういう表現は英語ではあんまりいらない。特に友達との会話文では。

they won't be able to do so と so は入れた方がいい。

it costs them too much の方が自然かなー。

例）
忘れるわけない -> How can I forget things like that?
何でそんなに詳しいの？ -> How come?
私の周りに行きたいと言っている友達はたくさんいます。-> many of my friends would like ...
they won't be able to do so と so を入れたほうがいいような。
it costs them too much としてもいいでしょうね。
シンプルにすると　But I don't think they can go because it costs them too much.と言うことと思います。
