こんばんは。お久しぶりですね、お元気そうでなによりです。 １）指示代名詞 正式な文章は It's not that, either. ですね。「それとも違う」はテキストについている訳でしょうか。 ちょっとニュアンスが違いますが 「そのこともそうではないよ」ということですね。 この前に何か文章があってそこから読むと テキストの訳になるのかもしれませんが これだけ読むと「そのこともそうではない」といった感じにしか受け取れませんね。つまり「ライターを使ったことも論理的ではないよ」を含蓄した言い回しになっております。 ２）これは応用という範囲では語れないものですね。状況によってちがいますから その点につきましては ＃１様がきちんとお答えになっていらっしゃいますので私の回答はさしひかえさせていただきます。 ３）につきましては 聞いたことはありませんが 文法的には無理ですが間違えて使う人がいる可能性はあります。 ともうしますのは Me, niether. Me,either. どちらも言う人がいるからです。文法的には Me,neither. が正解ですが 中には否定文でも Me too. を使う人が出てきている世の中です。 だからといって真似をしろと申し上げているわけではありませんが ひょとしたら Not that, niether. なんてこと言う人 いるかもしれませんね。I don't do anything. を I don't do nothing. なんていう人もいますから。ただこれらは間違いですので お使いにならないようになさってくださいませ。私たちが日本語を間違えるのと同様に彼らも間違えるのです。 ご参考までに。

Whatever mistakes they have made, in their growing and learning, are best forgotten. 上の文章の that is about as much about it as they want to hear. が訳せません、 自分なりに考えた訳ですが、 「それ(that=They don't mind our telling them=彼らに対し我々が彼に言うのを嫌がること)はほぼ同程度の子どものころについての（about it）量である、 その同程度とは彼らが聞きたいと思う程度である」 となり、日本語の体をなしておりません。 文法も代名詞が何を指しているかもさっぱり分かりません、 お分かりになれば教えてください。

大したことがないのかもしれませんが、気付いた事がありました。 We used to have 2 holidays, but they made it into only one. 「them」じゃなくて「it」なんですね。「it」は「2 holidays」ですか？もしそうだとしたら一つの休日にまとめる前に、すでに複数のholidaysはひとまとめになっているからなのかな、と。 もし「them」と言うと「they」が「them」になったと誤解されやすいからでしょうか？それとも「it」の方が自然だからでしょうか？ 「it」でも「them」でもどっちでも変わらないのでしょうか？
