４】★Although the slowdown in the housing market, whether in crimping consumer’s sense of wealth, or reducing their need for a new piano, had a huge and negative effect on the market, retailers cite other factors as well. 【訳】消費者の財産に対する感覚が邪魔をすることによって 住宅市場が後退しても、あるいは新しくピアノを購入する 必要性を減らしたことによってピアノ市場に大きな悪影響を 与えたとしても、小売店はその他の要因も引用している。 かなり意訳しました、75%の自信(?)(爆) ■■住宅着工件数減少や、消費者ではこの富裕感はどうも眉唾物だと言う感覚や、新しいピアノなんかもう不要だという傾向に垣間見える景気後退が、かなり悪影響をもたらしはしたものの、それだけがこの販売不振傾向の原因ではないと指摘している。

A common lament = の前後全てをひっくるめて、「販売店側が共通して後悔していることは」と訳しても良いのではないでしょうか? blow-out sales 「やけっぱち・投げ売り等の過度に値引きをする販売方法」?? でも、「投げ売り」には、色々使い古されたのがあって、それとは違う言い方なのかな? ●distress selling ●dumping ●sacrifice sale ●sacrificial sale
