単語の意味が分からず、訳せません。
ある米国の銀行についてのコメントを訳しています。 ところどころ単語が分からず、意味不明になってしまいます。 「～uses fun as the unifying theme」は「気持ちを一つにするとして、楽しむことを重視している」という風に訳してみたのですが、あってるのでしょうか？ また、「an applause-o-meter」の意味が全く分からず、At one evet～の文がよく分からずにいます。 どのように訳すべきかアドバイス頂けると大変助かります。宜しくお願いします 全文は以下のとおりです。 CEO Kerry Killinger uses fun as the unifying theme at the nation's largest thrift, where he is often the enthusiastic emcee. At one event WaMulians made "WaMovies", which were judged by an applause-o-meter.

＞「～uses fun as the unifying theme」は「気持ちを一つにするとして、楽しむことを重視している」という風に訳してみたのですが、あってるのでしょうか？ いいと思います。 （仕事上の）従業員共通の目標を楽しむことに置いた でもいいかな。 ＞an applause-o-meter テレビのお笑い番組などで、面白いと思った観客が手元のボタンを押すと、 舞台正面の棒グラフなどが高くなっていく仕掛けのことではないでしょうか？ 違っていたら申し訳ないです。

My wife and I have an adorable little hound dog who is extremely friendly with people and (usually) other dogs. One gentleman and his dog are especially friendly with our dog, which goes very well when greeting from behind a fence. However, we often take our dog on walks at the same time as this gentleman. While his dog is usually quite sweet, he just cannot get used to greeting other animals while they’re both on leashes. He runs over to greet our pup, but then panics, snaps, and occasionally tries to bite our dog. ここでのsnapsはどのような意味でしょうか？辞書をみると「噛み付く」とありますが、あとにtries to bite our dogとあるので違うでしょうか？よろしくお願いします
