失礼しました。今までの解答で「config.pl」と書いていましたが「conf.pl」の誤りでした。 conf.plはPerlで書かれていてSquirrelMailのアーカイブファイルを解凍した時点で実行権限が付いていると思います。 サーバにログインして prompt# cd "SquirrelMailのインストールディレクトリ" prompt # config/conf.pl で設定メニューが表示されると思います。 今までの回答はUnix系のOS上での動作を前提とさせて頂いています(私はFedoraCore上でしか運用した経験がありせん。また、SquirrelMailがwindowsのphp環境で動くかどうかは知りません)。

- linuxにPostgreSQL8.3インストールについて
CentOS5にpostgreSQL8.3をtarからインストールしようとしているのですが、"./configure --enable-multibyte=EUC_JP"とすると "configure: error: readline library not found"となるので、 readlineを # ./configure # make # make install # ldconfig としたのですが、再び同じエラーとなります。 ld.so.confにも"/usr/local/lib"と加えてあらためてldconfigとしてもダメでした… readlineインストール時に "install: you may need to run ldconfig"と出るのでreadlineはちゃんとインストールできていると思っているのですが、無理やり"./configure --enable-multibyte=EUC_JP --without-readline"として通してもやっぱり納得がいきません・・・ いったいまず何を見たらいいのでしょうか？

cygwin上で ファイルを解凍して インストールを実行するときに ./configure とすると loading cache ./config.cache checking for gcc... no checking for cc... no configure: error: no acceptable cc found in $PATH というエラーがでます。 これは何が原因でどう対処すればいいでしょうか？教えてください。

mysql-4.0.14をソースからインストールしようと 思ったのですができません。 ./configureはできるのですが 最後にlibrary not foundとでて makeファイルが出てmakeができません ちなみにパッケージから入れても当然は いりませんでした。

全くの初心者ですいません。 このログインとはDosのようなコマンドプロントで接続するということですか？（私の借りているサーバーはTELNETが使えないのです・・・） それともFTPなどで接続するのでしょうか？（この場合、prompt # config/conf.plのコマンドはどこにうてばいいのでしょうか？） よろしくお願いいたします。
