"How about ～?" は例えば、次のようには使えますよね。 How about you? How about going there with her? "about"は前置詞ですから、後ろに(動)名詞がくるのです。 「動名詞の意味上の主語」は目的格/所有格で示しますのでで、 How about him/his going there with her? となります。 toko0503さん(No.1)が挙げられた文、 What do you think of his going there with her? も前置詞"of"の後の動名詞"going"の意味上の主語を"his(/him)"で示しています。

こんにちは How about ～ は、相手に「～しませんか？（～なんかどお？）」という 勧誘の表現なので、お尋ねの文ですと 「彼に～させませんか？（～させるのなんかどうですか？）」のようにして How about letting him go there with her? あるいは What do you think of his going there with her? (彼が彼女とそこに行くのはどう思う？） などの形で表現するのではないでしょうか？ もっと良い回答が得られるかも知れませんが 参考までね

ある英語のテキストで、「how about ○○」は「それじゃ○○は？」と聞き返すときの疑問文なので、「how about」で会話が始まるのはおかしいと書かれていました。 また、他のテキストでは会話の始めの文章が「How do you feel about going to the beach?」になっており、「How do you feel about」は省略して「How about」でも良いと書かれていました。 どちらが正しいのでしょうか？
