主語を聞かれた時の答え方

Who played soccer with Ken?の答え方としてBob did.というように代動詞にして答えることは理解しています。 Who would often play in the forests?と聞かれた時の答え方はMy brother and I would.と、動詞は助動詞のwouldを使って答えればよいのでしょうか。 また、Who used to live in Emily's neighborhood?の場合、used toは助動詞なので、A family named Smith used to.でよいのでしょうか。 A family named Smith did.はおかしいですよね。 文法的に説明して頂けるとありがたいです。

>Who would often play in the forests?と聞かれた時の答え方はMy brother and I would.と、動詞は助動詞のwouldを使って答えればよいのでしょうか。 その通りです。 > Who used to live in Emily's neighborhood?の場合、used toは助動詞なので、A family named Smith used to.でよいのでしょうか。 A family named Smith did.はおかしいですよね。 助動詞used to 、例外的にdid が正しいです。A family named Smith used to. は不自然です。助動詞 used to を使った疑問文で下記の場合、 Which family did Emily use(d) to live next? の様にdidが挿入されます。(d) はおかしいのですが、使われる様です。また否定文も、 I didn't use(d) to play tennis with him. の様に使います。 どうやらused to は助動詞として扱われるものの、動詞としての性格が残っている様です。

１。Who would often play in the forests?と聞かれた時の答え方はMy brother and I would.と、動詞は助動詞のwouldを使って答えればよいのでしょうか。 　これは事実によります。 　（い）問いのとおりなら；My brother and I would. 　（ろ）知らなければ：I don't know. （は）想像で答える時：Mary and John may have. ２。また、Who used to live in Emily's neighborhood?の場合、used toは助動詞なので、A family named Smith used to.でよいのでしょうか。 　はい。 ３。 A family named Smith did.はおかしいですよね。 　別におかしくはありません。短く答えたければ： the Smiths. ４。　文法的に説明して頂けるとありがたいです。 　普通疑問には事実に基づく「言葉」で答え、文法は言葉の「あとで」できたものです。文法に振り回されると本末転倒になります。
