この単語うまく訳せません！
3つ質問があります。 1.The girl allegedly killed her friend.のallegedlyをどう訳していいか教えてください！辞書をみると「申し立てる」とかのっていたのですが意味が通じません・・。 2.In some cases,her symptoms worsened as time passed.のIn some casesはどう訳せばよいでしょうか？この文の前に、日本訳だと「ある小学校の先生もまた殺人が起こったことで精神的に参っており、人前に出るのに非常にストレスを感じるとカウンセラーに打ち明けている。」という文章がきます。 3.10 children who sought treatment for trauma.という文章は。トラウマの治療を受けた１０人の子供と訳すと習ったのですが、soughtが何故「（治療を）受ける」と訳すのかわかりません。この単語の原形はseekだからそういう意味はないですよね？？ どれかひとつでもいいので回答お願いします！

>「申し立てる」とかのっていたのですが意味が通じません・・。 こういう場合は英英辞典で調べます。 used when reporting something that other people say is true when reporting something that other people say is true, although there is no proof とあります。allegedlyは副詞ですが、訳す時は述語的に訳すと日本語らしくなります。 ＞In some cases これも 「～というケースもいくつかある。」という訳し方もあります。 ＞原形はseekだからそういう意味はないですよね？？ seekも英英辞典で調べてみましょう。try to get、ask forの意味です。つまり、子どもたちはトラウマを 直そうと 治療を求めているわけですね。

こんにちは！^_^ The girl allegedly killed her friend. この allegedly は「申し立てによると」「伝えられるところでは」という副詞で、 これをうまく日本語にしようとすると、 申し立てによると、その少女は友人を殺したらしい。 という訳になります。 このallegedlyの訳し方は、かなりユニークなものになりますね。（法律用語っぽいので） ---- In some cases.... 前段の文章から想像しても、ここでなぜ "in some cases..."で始まるのか、僕にも見当がつきません (?_?) ゴメンナサイ。 ---- 10 children who sought treatment for trauma. この seek (sought)は、「求める」と訳せばいいかも。 すなわち、 外傷治療を求めて（病院にやってきた）10人の子供たち ということでしょうね。 traumaは 「（カラダの）外傷」と訳すのがいい場合もあれば、「（心の）傷」と訳すのがいい場合もあります。前後関係に合わせて、ベターなほうを選んでください。 ^_^ Thank you!!

こんにちは。 １ですが、「～といわれているらしい」と訳してみてはいかがでしょうか。 ２は、「こういうときは」では？ ３は、「トラウマ治療を受けようとした10人の子供達」で、なぜ「受ける」という意味になるのか、ですが、seekには「探し求める」という意味がありますよね。で、対象が治療なので「受けようとした」という意訳になるのだと思います。 いかがでしょうか。

Thanks to a sleepover this weekend, I learned my daughter’s friend Jayne poops her bed at age 8. I woke up in the middle of the night to find her crying and trying to wash the sleeping bag we lent her. I am horrified by Jayne’s parents’ parenting methods. I want to respect their right to raise their child how they see fit—but at the same time, they don’t seem like fit parents to me.
