My husband and I have been raising two of my grandkids: Their mothers are from my first marriage and addicted to drugs. It was rough the first few years, but I told my husband I couldn’t turn my back on the grandkids and he said that we together could do it. Fast-forward several years and he’s retired, the kids are 14 and 9, and I feel like I get punished all the time for “ruining his life and retirement” by choosing the grandkids over him. He always starts off that it was the only choice we could make, but there isn’t a day that goes by he doesn’t have a sarcastic remark about me or the grandkids’ mothers or how dishonest and horrible all women are. He always starts off thatはなぜ that節がとれるのでしょうか?

This includes systems that support the identification of data in a form and time frame that allow staff to carry out their reports to be generated.

I think we are all born with the gift for enjoying beautiful things ,but that we are indifferent to many of them because our attention was never called to them in childhood. 文中のthat は、名詞節のthatですが、このthatは必要なのでしょうか? that s+v is~.

In truth, however,if we refer to the plans of conciliation proposed,we find them at variance with each other and mutually destructive. The conciliators are not agreed among themselves, and each holds the views of the other to be untenable and unsafe, The ground is perpetually being shifted as the advance of geological science may require. The plain meaning of the Hebrew record is unscrupulously tampered with,in general the pith of the whole process lies in divesting the text of all meaning whatever. We are told that,Scripture not being designed to teach us natural philosophy,it is in vain to attempt to make out a cosmogony from its statements. If the first chapter of Genesis conveys to us no information concerning the origin of the world, it's statements can't indeed be contradicted by modern discovery. But it is absurd to call this harmony. Statements such as that above quoted are,we conceive, little calculated to be serviceable to the interests of theology ,still less to religion and morality .

- thatの解釈
Mysticism: A Guide for the Perplexed by Paul Oliver https://books.google.co.jp/books?id=X1QSBwAAQBAJ&pg=PA139&dq=%22+THAT+SOMETIMES+,+IF%22&hl=ja&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjY1u3uyuTaAhXEKpQKHeBFCwo4ChDoAQhUMAY#v=onepage&q=%22%20THAT%20SOMETIMES%20%2C%20IF%22&f=false Just as nature has found mechanisms to maintain a form of equilibrium, human beings are adapted by both their physiology and psychology to maintain a form of equilibrium. The various biochemical feedback mechanisms and control systems ensure that if one element of the body's physiology alters, other processes can often manage to adapt so that the overall condition of the body does not change. In other words, the body reacts to restore the natural equilibrium. Similarly, in the case of psychological difficulties the body is able to adapt. We are able to learn strategies to cope with problems, and not necessarily to overreact to them. 【We learn throughout life, that sometimes if we can manage to live with a difficult situation, and to give the circumstances time to change, that this is exactly what happens.】 Even seemingly very difficult situations will often gradually improve, given time. When we look back on an event which seemed extremely difficult at the time, it is often quite amazing that it has gradually improved, sometimes without any specific intervention. Of course, this does not always happen, but there are many occasions on which it does. In other words, as human beings, our lives and our relationships with other human beings are also in a type of dynamic equilibrium.

We pray to be protected from the enemy. We pray for the enemy's change of heart. Barring that, we pray for the enemy's defeat. In the fullest posession of ourselves, we pray not to forget that we too are imperfect and need to remember the values that transcend our own need to win. を祈れ」の前にbarring thatが入ってますが、ここで、thatは「the enemy's change of heart」を指しているのでしょうか。

One of the most painful circumstances of recent advances in science is that each of them makes us know less than we thought we did. When I was young we all knew, or thought we knew, that a man consists of a soul and a body;that the body is in time and space, but the soul is in the time only. Whether the soul survives death was a matter as to which opinions might differ, but that there is a soul was thought to be indubitable As for the body, the plain man considered its existence self-evident, and so did the man of science, but the philosopher was apt to analyze it away after one fashion or another.

2.a heads-up to a day or two earlierのtoの役割は何でしょうか、省略は可能でしょうか。 So we can give all the folks that we gave a heads-up to a day or two earlier, we can say okay, it’s worse than we expected, it’s as expected, or maybe it’s a bit of a dud and is not going to be the impact we thought it might have here on Earth.
