下記の文章の（ ）に、(A)（B)(C)(D）から適切な語を選ぶという問題なのですが、 There are ( ) 500 different species of just this one type of fish. (A) many (B) as many (C) too many (D) as many as 正解は（B) as many なのですが、何故（D) as many as ではダメなのですか？ 初歩的な質問ですみませんが教えて下さい。よろしくお願いします。 文章はアフリカのヴィクトリア湖についての文章で、前後を含め大体の意味は 「ヴィクトリア湖は珍しい湖で比較的新しい湖なのに、魚の種類もとても豊富で 生態系はもっともっと古くからある湖のよう」みたいな感じの主旨のパッセージの一文です。

as many as 数詞で「～もの（こんなにも多くの）」で正解です。 as many というのは、前に数詞を用いた表現があって、「同数の」の意味で、 as many の後に数詞はきません。 誤植か、勘違いか。

英語で書く資料でなんと書いてよいかわからず、困っております。 「配列Aに格納されているオブジェクトの数分だけ、関数Bを呼び出す。」 というのを英語で言うとどうなるでしょうか？ Function B is called as many time as the number of Objects in Array A. のような感じでしょうか？特に"as many time as～"以下の部分がよくわかりません。 どなたか教えていただけるとありがたいです。

many fish とa lot of fishについて fishは単数でもfish,複数形でもfishということですが たくさんの魚と言いたい時はmany fishでもa lot of fishでも どちらでも同じ意味で、どちらを使っても構わないのでしょうか。 なんとなく見た感じa lot of fishのほうがすっきりしている感じはするのですが・・・ 中３の娘の質問なので わかりやすく教えていただけるとありがたいです。 お願いします。

おととい英語のリスニングをしたんですが、そこに出てきた問題の英語表現がよく似ていて、違いがわからない選択問題がたくさんありました。 そのリスニングは一人のspeakerがクリスマスでの家族についての話なのですが。 Christmas dinner is usually......... a. eaten at the grand parents' home. b. eaten in relation to a celebration. c. eaten at a family member's home d. eaten at home or a family member's home aは他の選択肢との違いがわかるんですが、b,c,dに関しては意味の違いが分かりません。 また、同じリスニング問題で The meal....... a. has many prepared details b. has many hours of details c. takes hours of preparation d. takes our preparation 意味の違いがわからず、話を聞き取れても結局どれが答えなのか 分からない状態になりました。。。。 違いがわかるかたおしえてください。 分かるほうに教えてくれればうれしいです。 回答よろしくおねがいします。
