Put it on display ～の訳を教えて
Put it on display indeed. Not when there's important scientific resarch to be done! 珍しい生物を見つけた学者が言ったセリフです。このセリフの意味を教えてください。お願いします。

put on display=exhibit (公に発表する、展示する） Not whenから始まる否定文は「～～の時には無理に決まってるだろう」といった強い否定を表します。なので訳としては 「勿論発表するよ。でも大事な科学的研究は終わるまでは絶対無理だ！」 という感じになります。

読売新聞のサイトで五輪サッカーの記事を読んでいたところ、ちょっと気に掛かった表現があったので、質問します。 いずれも put を含むもので、簡単そうで難しい文章だと思いました。 引用１： The U.S. in particular seemed to struggle with the climate, unable to put on much of a running game. But while the Japanese huffed and puffed for possession, it was the Americans who would score moments after halftime. 質問： ここで、"put on much of a running game"という部分が、なんとなく理解しづらいのですが、どういう構造＆意味なんでしょうか？ 直前の climate を修飾しているのでしょうか？ それとも seemed の「補語」なんでしょうか？ 引用２： "My boys put in a real hard fight and I am proud of them. We still have a lot of improving to do, but we did some things very well tonight. " 質問： ここでの put in a real hard fight が微妙に理解しづらいのですが、どういう意味でしょう？ 以上宜しく、ご教授お願いします。

NHKが出版している本で、Kitchen Table Talkという本があるのですが、その中に「Politeness, I suppose, is truly polite only when it helps people to feel good or smoothes over a situation. Not saying "sumimasen" if it makes someone uncomfortable, or Not using polite language when someone doesn't understand it turns out to be the kind thing to do. There may be too much "politeness" for some people, but there's never too much kindness.」この文章で、(1)Not saying～、Not usingのとらえ方。(2)if it makes～ it turns outのitは何を指しているのですか？(3)turns outの主語を教えて下さい。訳も全体をみるとわからなくなってしまいます。すみませんが、よろしくお願いいたします。

「それらの骨董品は値段がつけられないくらい貴重です。」 "Those antiques are so valuable that it would be impossible to put prices on them." 上記の英文ですが、put prices という表現は正しいのでしょうか。 値段は骨董品一つ一つにつけるものなので、put a price という表現が正しいのでしょうか。
