Toeicのリスニング問題集の問題で、文の構造が分からなくなってしまった文がありましたので教えてくださいませ。 You'll each conference individually with Sally Morgan, the head of human resources, to discuss how much you would like withheld from your salary for your pension contributions....... のような文がありました。 you would like withheld... でいきなりwithheldという過去分詞が出てきましたが、これは you woul like to have your pension contributions withheld from your salary.... に書き換えられますか？「給料から年金年金捻出金をいくら天引きしてほしいか、、」 というような意味です。。 woul like の後に過去分詞って、文法的に可？でしたか？ 教えてくださいませ。

would like ＝ want ですが， want は want O to be 過去分詞 ＝ want O 過去分詞で， O が～されるのを望む O が～されてほしい という意味になります。 ここでは would like X-amount withheld で， X 分量が引かれるのを望む この X を尋ねるのが how much であり， 前に出ます。 How much would you like withheld ～? ここでは discuss の後で，名詞節として間接疑問文なので， 肯定文の順序で discuss how much you would like withheld ～ ぱっと見て，would like の目的語として how much を見つけることです。

使役動詞 have を用いるのはかまいませんが， how much you woul like to have your pension contributions withheld have の目的語として，how much と your pension cntributions の２つ存在することになります。 だから，have を用いるにしても how much you would like to have withheld ～ とするしかありません。 ここでも have X-amount withheld において， X を how much で尋ねる形です。 とにかく，how much がどんな役割を果たすか。 much はこれで代名詞的に目的語になります。

（贅肉を取ると） How much to be witheld ? が 基本だと思います。 (Ｙｏｕ would like) は副詞句（贅肉）です。
