- GIMPを使いたいのに、インストール後に表示されたエラーメッセージ「Libgimp version mismatch!」について教えてください。
- Windows８のノートPCを使用しており、GIMPをダウンロードし、インストールした後に表示されたエラーメッセージに困っています。
- GIMPのインストール後、エラーメッセージ「The GIMP binary cannot run with a libgimp version other than its own. This is GIMP 2.8.4, but the libgimp version is 2.8.6.」が表示されます。このエラーの意味を教えてください。

私は、Windows８のノートPCを使っています。 GIMPをダウンロードし、インストールしたら、GIMPからこんなメッセージが表示されました。 どなたか、訳せれるかたいらっしゃいましたら教えて頂きたいのですが。 インストールしても使えないという事なんでしょうか？ ⇓ ⇓ ⇓ Libgimp version mismatch! The GIMP binary cannot run with a libgimp version other than its own. This is GIMP 2.8.4, but the libgimp version is 2.8.6. Maybe you have GIMP versions in both /usr and /usr/local ?

No.2の回答に .exe という記述があるため「確認待ち」になっているようなので、 本文のみを回答しました。 すでにGIMPがインストールされている環境に、さらにGIMPをインストールしようとしている、 ということはありませんか？（/usr フォルダ と /usr/local フォルダに存在する） いったんインストール済みのGIMPをアンインストールしてインストールしてみてください。 --- 試しにw8 64bit環境でインストールしてみました。 インストールおよび実際の動作ともに、何も問題なく、正常に稼働しています。 添付画像参照。

メッセージ内容はおおむね、以下のような感じです。 Libgimp（GIMPライブラリ）のバージョンが適合していません！ GIMPバイナリはそれ自身以外のライブラリと共には実行できません。 このGIMPはバージョン2.8.4です。しかし、ライブラリのバージョンは2.8.6です。 もしかして、あなた（の環境で）は、/usr and /usr/local に両方のバージョンが併存していませんか? いったん、GIMPをアンインストールし、/usr and /usr/local 以下のGIMPの設定ファイルもすべて削除し、その後インストールしてはいかがでしょうか? GIMPは、アンインストールしても/usr and /usr/local 以下のGIMPの設定ファイルを残す仕様になっています。これは、バージョンアップ時にブラシやスクリプトなどが無くならないようにするため。 しかし、新しいバージョンから古いバージョンにダウングレードするときには、うまく行かなくなることが多いのです。もしかすると、いったん2.8.6をインストールしようとしたが、中止したことがありませんか? あるいは、2.8.6からダウングレードしようとしていませんか? そして今回2.8.4をインストールしようとしたら、このような事が起こります。 自作のブラシやスクリプトなどを追加していたのでしたら、削除する前にバックアップを取っておきましょう。 WEB上で公開されている物なら、新たに追加しなおしても問題ありませんが。
