(1)By the time I finished my work, the store had already been closed. (2)By the time I finished my work, it was too late to go shopping. (1はすべて店の事情) (3)By the time I finished my work, it had been too late to shopping. to shoppingのtoがどうにも。

  • by the time の意味のとり方

By the time, by then 文 By the time I got to the party, most of the other guests had left. (1) I had a lot of work to do last night. I was very tired by the time I finished. (2) By the time I finished my work, it was too late to go shopping.

I was very tired by the time I finished. By the time I finished my work, it was too late to go shopping. また by the time と by that time (by then)に感覚の違いはあるのでしょうか?

(1) A: Did you see John yesterday? B: Yes. It was good to see him again. I (see, not) him in a long time. (2) A: Did you go out to eat last night? B: No.By the time I got home, my husband had already made dinner for us. While we were eating , George (stop) by to visit us.

It would be nice if you could have this finished by Monday. It would have been nice if you could have had this finished by Monday. I wish you could have this finished by Monday. I had to go home and get changed because I had been sick all over my clothes I just did not make it quick enough to the toilet. I think it is all to do with stress and trying to sort Dave out. I had been sick all over my clothesは病気で? 英語でお漏らしをsich all over my clothes なんて表現するのでしょうか?

I'm 29. I never had a chance to date in high school. My family farms, and when I was 14, my grandfather could no longer help my dad. Dad couldn't take care of things alone, so I would go out and help him the minute I got home from school every day. Between the farm work and keeping up with my studies, I had to grow up fast. I graduated with a 3.5 grade point average, but because I had no time for dating, this part of my development has always been off. this part of my development has always been offとはどのような意味でしょうか?

There are bound to be other things as well. I mean, there's a window broken in the room where I slept, and the garden's---the garden's awful. It needs work doing on it, that's all. It's mostly small things."(前回の終わりです) ↓(続きです) ‘You slept there?' he says, sounding incredulous. ‘Yes, of course. It was too late by the time I'd –when I'd finished looking round.' ‘Well, at least it doesn't sound like it's falling down,' he says cautiously. ‘You'd expect a little work to be necessary after –how long has it been?' ‘Eight years,' I say. ‘Well, quite.' There's a pause. ‘You slept there?' he says, sounding incredulous. ‘Yes, of course. It was too late by the time I'd –when I'd finished looking round.' ‘Well, at least it doesn't sound like it's falling down,' の会話の個所ですが、it doesn't sound like it's falling downと言っているのは、「眠れなかったように思える」、というような意味ですか? ‘You'd expect a little work to be necessary after –how long has it been?' ‘Eight years,' I say. の個所のやりとりがわからないのですが、a little workというのはちょっとした仕事、という意味ですか?after –how long has it been?

(改行などは気にしないでください) Last night I had a couple of friends over to my house for drinks. I like to drink and I drank a lot. We enjoyed talking and drinking untill past 12a.m. I had to go to work also the next day, so my friends went home and I went to bed. This morning my alarm must have gone off at 6 o'clock. But I didn't realize it at all, because I was sleeping soundly due to having drunken too much and gone to bed so late. More than half an hour later I finally woke up. I was very surprized to look at the time. I jumped out of bed. My wife was ready for my breakfast but I had no time for eating it. I ran through the dining room with putting on my suit and rushed to the station. After arriving at the station, I still kept running in a great hurry, aiming to the train. However the train I wanted to take had just left. It was the last train by which I was in time for the office. I was so depressed by thinking of how I would be condemned by my boss in the office.
