I saw・・・は単純な過去形ですので「私は見た、そういうことがあった」ですね？ 片や、I have seen・・・は「have＋過去分詞」＝現在完了、ですので、完了（～し終えた）・結果（～になった）・経験（～したことがある）・継続（ずっと～している）などを表す表現で、単発的に「あった」というよりは表現者にとって「継続」したこと、「複数回を強調」のニュアンスを含みます。 言い換えると前者が「３回見た」、後者が「３回も続けて見た」のような意味かな？ 単なる過去の事実を語るのと、「続いた」ことを強調して伝えたいニュアンスを含むといえばいいのでしょうか。 オ－バーに言うと「３回見たけど、それだけ」と、「３回も見たのよ！すごいと思わない！」的な？ オーバーにですよ？（笑）

「3回見た」という意味内容は同じでも、話者の意識が違います。 完了形では最後に見た記憶が未だ鮮明であり、 且つその事態からそれ程時間が経過していない という内容が言外に含まれています。 対して単なる過去形では、既に過ぎ去ってしまった 過去の事象であり然程関心もないというニュアンスです。 I have seen her 3 times this morning 「今朝は3回も彼女見ちゃったよ」 I saw her 3 times this morning 「今朝は3回彼女見たっけ」

英語についていくつか質問です。 ・When I was in Tokyo,I saw it three times. (私は東京にいたとき３回見た。) →過去完了は過去のある時点の「動作の完了、経験、状態の継続」を表すのに、なぜ過去完了のhad seenではなく過去形のsawなんでしょうか？ ・I just called her home. (今彼女の家に電話した。) →動作の完了ですし、justを用いているのになぜ現在完了ではないんでしょうか？ ・Whatever results may follow,you have only to do your best. (どのような結果になろうと、あなたは全力を尽くしさえすればよい。) →これと同じ表現のAll you have to do is to do your best.にwhatever～follwの表現を付け加える場合、参考書ではall～の表現がAが大文字でAll～になってたのですが、all～の後ろにwhatever～をつけなければならないのでしょうか？ 多いですが、分かるものだけでもいいのでよろしくお願いします！

今学校にいて、学校の友達に「メアリー見なかった？」「メアリーに会ってない？」とたずねるときに、Have you seen Mary?と言うことはわかるのですが、それが現在完了の「継続」「完了」「経験」のどれにあてはまるのかわからないのです。 答え方は、「見たよ、キャフェテリアで見たよ」 なら A: Yes, I have. I've seen her in the Cafeteria.と答えたとすると、「完了」ですか？ B: Yes, I have. I saw her in the Cafeteria.と過去形で答えることも可能ですよね。 検索してみましたが、今一ぴったりする回答がみつかりません。 どうしても文法用語と結び付けて理解したいのでグラマリアンの方よろしくお願いします。

次の(1)、(2)に関してお願いいたします。 (1)"Have you ever seen that movie?" "Yes. When I was in Tokyo, I saw it three times." この２行目の"saw"の部分が"have seen"ではだめ！と聞いたんですが、その理由が自分では説明できません。どうしてなのでしょうか？ (2)I lived in Tokyo from 1980 to 1993, and then I moved to Hokkaido. この"lived"の部分が"have lived"ではだめだと聞いたんですが、これもまた、その理由がわかりません。 もしかすると、この(1)と(2)はひとつの説明でいいのかもしれないけど、それも自分でははっきりしません、、、。 よろしくお願いいたします。
