「心には理性で分からない理屈がある」と訳すのが定番のようです。 http://okwave.jp/qa/q2096830.html フランス語の原文からの英訳には、ほかにいくつものバージョンがあるようです。例えば、 The heart has its reasons which reason knows nothing of. The heart has its reasons, of which reason knows nothing. Love has its reasons that reason knows nothing of. さて、お尋ねのThe heart has its reasons which reason knows not of.ですが、 its reasonsは、その心（又はその愛）がもつその心（又はその愛）なりの理屈（第三者にとっては屁理屈）を意味し、 後のreasonは、一般的な理屈、つまり理性ということになります。 reason knows not ofは、多分、古風な言い方なのでしょう。 だからもっと分かりやすい別バージョンの英訳がいろいろ出てくるのです。 whichは関係代名詞の制限用法です。 reason knows not ofの後にはthe reasons of the heartが略されていると解釈できます。 ずずずと意訳しますと。。。 誰かを愛する人の心には、普通一般の理屈では計り知れない（理解できない）その人なりの理屈がある。

Search your own heart with all diligence for out of it flow the issues of life. 旧約聖書・箴言・第4章23節 なのですが、 for out of it flow the issues of life の部分の文法が解釈できません。 for は前置詞ですか? 接続詞ですか? flow は他動詞で、その目的語が the issues of life ですか? それとも倒置が起きていて the issues of life が主語、その動詞が flow ですか? it は何を指していますか? 直訳をお願いします。 あと、分かり易い意訳が出来たらお願いします。

(1)of which の後に穴がありますが、その穴にはthe share price が該当しますか？ (2)of whichのofを後に持ってくると the share price which has dropped of to nearly half its value in two years. でしょうか？ dropped of という熟語がないので間違っているような気もしています。 (3) , までの文と , 以降の文がかみ合っていないように思いますが、この文章文法的にあっているのでしょうか？ どうぞ宜しくお願い申し上げます。

not sinceが使われた文の文法についてなんですが、 Probably not since the days of the Pharaohs or the more ludicrous Roman Emperors has a head of state travelled in such pomp and expensive grandeur as the President of the United States of America. という表現では、後半の"head of state"が主語の肯定文にみえるのですが、次の例 No one has lived there for over 2,000 years - not since the summer of the year A.D. 79, to be exact. では、文の構造が逆になっており、かつ、not sinceの内容だけでなく、対になった節でNo oneが使われた否定文のような内容になっています。(前者の例から推測すると、People has lived there～という肯定文とペアになるような気がしてしまうのですが) どういうルールがあるのでしょうか。 よろしくお願いします。
