文中のwhatの扱いが判らなくて訳せません。 どういう風に訳せばよいのですか？ [英文] It has not been determined at this time whether, and to what extent, the Corynebacterium so. oxidizes NH2OH, oxime, and NO2-. また、 「沈殿物分析試料」と訳した単語があるのですが 何かしっくり来ないので、他の訳はないでしょうか？ 訳文が間違っていたり・・・。 [英文] An enrichment culture medium with 0.2% acetamide in inorganic salts was inoculated with sediment samples and incubated on a rotary shaker at 25℃ until a positive reaction for nitrite was noted in the medium. [和文] 無機塩の0.2%アセトアミドを持つ集積培養の培地に、沈殿物分析試料を接種し、培地において亜硝酸塩による明確な反応が観察できるまで、25℃で回転式の振とう機において培養しました。

＞文中のwhatの扱いが判らなくて訳せません。 "to what extent"全体で「どの程度まで」という意味の 疑問の副詞句になっています。 あとは本人の日本語のセンスです。 『現時点ではCorynebacterium so.に関し、 NH2OH、オキシム、NO2-の酸化能の有無と程度は 明かでない。』 ＞「沈殿物分析試料」と訳した単語があるのですが 「沈降試料」と訳した方が素直では？ 和文自体は正しい訳だと思います。

Individual colonies on PO-YE plates were used to inoculate liquid PO-YE medium or a liquid medium consisting of 15 mM PO-mineral salts (PO-MS) medium. Liquid cultures (100 ml) were incubated in 500-ml Erlenmeyer flasks with a gyratory shaker rate of 280 rpm to assure adequate oxygenation (8). Secondary liquid cultures used for quantitative measurements were inoculated by a 100-fold dilution of a previous culture which was in late exponential growth. Cultures were incubated at 30℃ except for Neiserria sicca, which was incubated at 37℃. Media used for agar plates were solidified with 1.8% agar. こんにちは。 お世話になります。 英語初学者です。 下記に挙げます二つの英文の違いが分からず、困り果てております。 1, Emma was the younger of two daughters but only she lived with her father with the family home. 2, Her sister Isabella lived in London with her husband and five children. 教えていただきたいのですが、なぜ、１の英文ではliveの後ろにwith、次にatと場所が来るのに、 2の文ではliveの後ろにinと場所が来て、その次にwithがくるのでしょうか？ 違いが全く分かりません。 両者で微妙なニュアンスが異なるのでしょうか？それとも、全く同じなのでしょうか？ どなたか、教えてはいただけないでしょうか？ 宜しくお願い致します。
