関係代名詞の問題を教えてください

An area ( ) wild animals live in in があるからです。 an area という先行詞に対し wild animals lives in it でつながります。 an area in which wild animals live an area (which/that) wilid animals live in an area where wild animals live どれでも正しいです。 in があれば、in it のように it ですむので、関係代名詞の目的格でよい。 in がない場合は where となります。 live の場合は which だけではだめです。 in が必要。 in which ならいい。 where でもいい。 でも where を用いるなら in は必要ありません。

関係代名詞と関係副詞の使い分けについて教えてください。 (1)This is the house which I live in. (2)This is the house where I live. この２つの文で、なぜ(1)はwhichで(2)はwhereなのかがわかりません。 (2)はわかるのですが、(1)がわかりません。 (2)を分解すると、This is the house. I live there.で、 thereは副詞だから関係副詞を使うのはわかります。 (1)はThis is the house. I live in the house. だと思うのですが・・・。 疑問点がまとめられなくて申し訳ないのですが、どなたかわかりやすく教えていただけないでしょうか？

In a society where slavery in the strict sense has been abolished the sign that what a man does is of social value is that he is paid money to do it. という文ですが、 各代名詞が何を受けているのかが分かりません。 he は a man を受けているのではないかと思うのですが、 文末のitは what a man does あるいは what を受けていると考えたらよいのでしょうか？

基礎文法の本に同じ日本語訳で三つ例題がありました。 1.This is the house where he lived in his youth. 2.This is the house (which[that]) he lived in in his youth. 3.This is the house in which he lived in his youth. これらは本当に同じ意味合いになるのでしょうか？ それとも微妙なフィーリングの違いがあるのでしょうか？ また、口語では３っつともよく使われる文法なのでしょうか？ よろしくお願いいたします。

すいません 英語の質問です。 まず関係代名詞whatについての質問なんですが、 In my flag, what I ride on the big bird, express that I want to fly. という文章を書いたんですが、 In my flag, what riding on the big bird, express that I want to fly. と直されてしましました。 これは何がいけないのでしょうか？ またthat や thoseなどについての質問なんですが、 Aはそれ（前の文章で述べたとする）のシンボルである みたいな文のとき A is symbol of that ではだめで A is symbol of that thing. じゃないといけないのですか？？ that thing と that の使い分けがわからないのです！！！ ちなみにもちろんthatの複数の場合は必ずはthoseになりますよね？？
