関係代名詞について
基礎文法の本に同じ日本語訳で三つ例題がありました。 1.This is the house where he lived in his youth. 2.This is the house (which[that]) he lived in in his youth. 3.This is the house in which he lived in his youth. これらは本当に同じ意味合いになるのでしょうか？ それとも微妙なフィーリングの違いがあるのでしょうか？ また、口語では３っつともよく使われる文法なのでしょうか？ よろしくお願いいたします。

ご質問のＮｏ.１～３ 意味は同じです。 口語で普通つかわれるのは、１番。 文体がフォーマルなのが３番。 気になるのは、２番の he lived in in his youth. in が 重なるところです。アメリカ人の主人に聞きましたところ この表現は、普通つかわれないとのこと。 he lived in in his youth → he lived in during his youth 関係代名詞の質問とは直接関係ないですが、極参考までに。

全く同じ意味です。 口語で多用されのは、This is the house he ...の形でしょう。他には、This is where he ... の形があります。

こんにちは。 ネイティブの方たちは、口語でもI think that he is...のthatを言いますか？ もし使っている場合、考えの中身との間に一呼吸入れたい場合は、 I think that○he is I think○that he is どちらで区切って言うものなのでしょうか？ また、「僕が思うにはね…えっと…彼は」の「えっと」のようなニュアンスでthatを使うようなことはありますか？ また、whoやwhichも、やはりきちんと言うのでしょうか？ それとも、なるべく関係代名詞的な言い方はしないような話し方をしているものなのでしょうか？ たとえば、関係代名詞を多用するようなしゃべり方は、「つまり…であるからして…○たる△が…」といった難しい印象を与えるですとか、子供には意味が通じづらいといったことがあるのでしょうか？ お手数ですが、宜しくお願い致します。
