長期にわたるコカイン摂取の経歴を持つラットは、摂取割合を漸進的に増やしてゆく強化スケジュールのもとで、さらに上昇する消費量とより高い「限界点」を反映して、その薬物（コカイン）を摂取しようとするより強い動機を示す。 前回の拙訳に対し BA をいただき恐縮します。今回のほうがほんの少しはましかなと・・・。

コケインとの接触が延長された経過を伴うネズミは薬物を獲得しようという動機を増大させる挙動を見せます。このような挙動を見せるのは累進率による（習慣を増大させるような）強化スケジュールの環境下において上昇する摂取量とより高い”変節点”における反射行動としておこるものである。
