ちょっとした語感ですが、説明はなかなか難しいですね。for はぼやっとしたターゲットにはよいが、非常に具体的な狭いターゲットになると to が相応しいという語感だと思います。 late for school/work は late to school/work よりもやや多く使われています。ところが面白い？ことに late to the party はlate to the party より使われるし、 late to class に至っては late for class よりもずっと使われて、late for class はほとんど使わないと覚えた方がよい位です。

こんにちは。 ある契約書の文章を読んでいますが、タイトル通り、以下の二文の違いが分かりません。 (1)The prices for the Products shall be・・ (2)The prices to be paid for the Products may・・ この2文の違いとは何なのでしょうか。税込み、税抜きのような明らかな違いがあるのでしょうか・・？わざわざ分けて記載しているので、理由があると思うのですが・・。宜しくお願い致します。

Edward took Mark into the classroom on the first day of the course. "You can't bring your son into the classroom with you," the teacher complained. "I'm not," replied Edward.
