英訳あってますか？ 「この前あった、３ヶ月ぶりにある友達から太ったって
英訳あってますか？ 「この前あった、３ヶ月ぶりにある友達から太ったって言われて ショックだった」っていいたいのですが、下記の英文でよいのでしょうか？ one of my friends that I had not seen her for three months said "you put on weigt" then I was so shocked ３ヶ月ぶりにあうってところで大過去を使ってみたのですが、 大過去にまだなれいないので、 あってるか不安で。。。。 もっと簡単な表現があったらそちらも教えていただければうれしいです。

質問者様の英語でほぼ良いのではないでしょうか。"you've put on weight, which gave me lots of shock"だけ 現在完了にして、文を先行詞に使うwhichなんか使ったりして。 もし会話なら、日本語の修飾関係にこだわらずにもっと楽に言えるんじゃないですか？ "I met a friend of mine for the first time in three months." "She got me down when I heard her say,'You've gained a little weight.'" しゃべるときは幼稚園児・小学生に伝えるようにやさしく、書くときは辞書を引きまくりかっこつけたらうまくいくかな？

One of my friends I had not seen for three months said "you put on a bit of weight" which knocked me out.

英語の完了形について。 完了形を勉強していて、いくつか分らないところがありました。もし英語ネイティブの方などがいたら教えてください。 １．I ( )( ) her three days ago. という問題がありました。答えは I just met her three days ago. だったのですが、 I have met her three day ago. ではなぜいけないのでしょうか？？ ２．She had been sick for three days before the doctor visited her. 高校の文法の教科書で、接続詞のbeforeやafterがあるときは過去完了は使わず過去形でいいとあったのですが、同じ教科書に上のような文が出ていました。納得がいきません… ３．ｗｈｅｎ I was in the USA, I ( ）the famous artist three times. この問題は、(1)had seen もしくは(2)sawのどちらかが（ ）に入るのですが、どちらが正いのか分りません。 詳しい方いらっしゃいましたら、よろしくお願いします。

こんにちは。次の文を翻訳サイトで英訳すると、その次のような結果になりました。 「私は三ヶ月間病気で会社を休んでいました。」 “I was absent from a company for a disease for three months.” しかし、直感的に、“for”とか“since”が出てくる文には、過去形ではなく現在完了形を使うべきではないのか、と、困っています。それならば、 “I have been absent from a company for a disease for three months.” が、正解なのでしょうか。 よろしくお願いします。
