英文がよくわからないので誰かわかる方教えて下さい。
we still have only the most general understanding of the life systems on which we have been experimenting ─whether our own bodies or Earth’s atmosphere. 単語は調べたのでなんとなく意味はわかるのですが、on whichのところ が文法的にどうなっているのか全然わかりません。どう解釈すればいん でしょうか。

お世話になります。会社から国外に出す英文レターを頼まれたのですが、下記英文を外国のサイトのSAMPLEレターで見つけたのですが、文法的にあっているかどうかの確認をお願いしたいのです。 "We will be providing the same products and fine service on which we have built our reputation in the industry." 流し読みをしている分には、いい感じなのですが、on which の後の"we have built our reputation in the industry" はSVOの完全な一文ですよね。On which がつくからには、先行詞" the same products and fine service"を修飾する関係代名詞の文かと思ったのですが、これではまるでon whichが同格（that?)のような扱いではありませんか？ この分が文法的にあっているのか教えてください。よろしくお願いします。

But, since we also usually like to think our own ways are best, one group will still look down on another even though, or because, it is ()! In the 17th century, the clean Turkish people, who took a bath several times a week, were viewed with suspicion by dirty Europeans. They decided this strange habit must be caused by the inferior Turkish food, religion and climate. As for our 21st century global world, well, we certainly spend a lot of time cleaning our bodies.

such an understanding makes one wonder whether our DNA is the only way to create life. Is it possible that life could exist whitout DNA ? Certainly we have not discovered any forms of non-DNA life on Earth. However ,in different environments on other planets where itis extremely hot or cold , the chemistry may be unimaginable. この英文がいまいち訳せません。どなたかわかりやすい訳を教えてください。お願いします。
