back up

こんにちは! Now, I'm back up at school and started last week.という文章で質問があります。 おおよその内容はつかめますが、このback upの意味がよくわかりません。また、startedの主語をIだとすると、I started last week.となって、何を始めたの？？と思ってしまうのですが・・・ どなたか解説していただけないでしょうか。よろしくお願いします。

ハイ、kikiさん、こんにちわ！　Gです。 今からボウリングのリーグに出かけないといけないので、簡単に説明させてもらいますね。 まず、started last weekの主語はIですね。　つまり、I started lasted week.となりますが、何を、となりますね。　at schoolですから、冬休みが終わり(先週でしたけど、ここでは)授業が始まった、ということなんですね。　ですから、このばあい、the school started last weekの文法を無視した形をとっているということでもあります。 ただ、ここでは、I startedと自動詞的に書いたわけですね。 つまり、目的語を、言ってみれば、暗黙の了解で、省略した形になっているわけです。　(この理論は分類学者は反論するでしょうが、仕方ないです) じゃ、最初の文章は?となりますね。　この元になる文章は、I'm backで、I have returnedの意味なんですね。　I'm back at schoolで、I have returned and am now at school.を一つにした意味なんですね。 じゃ、upは？ですね。　これは、日本では分かりにくいと思うんですが、学校じたいが、今までいたところ(多分実家でしょう)の位置と較べて北の方向にあり、南から北へいく、という意味で、upを使うんですね。 ですから、例えば、学校のある場所が、トウキョウで、実家が長野、とすると、I have to go down to Tokyo.と言う言い方になるんですね。　(ただ、人によって、大都市への方向はupー南北関係なくーと言う人もいますが) つまり、ここでは、日本語に訳すと、upには意味のないものになります。 ですから、これを下手な日本語に直すと、「ハイ、今は学校に帰っています、そして、授業はもう先週から始まっています」、ということになります。 これでいいでしょうか。　分からない点がありましたら、補足質問してください。
