当方、英語初心者です。 今さっき英語の問題集を解いていたのですが、 It would be nice if we （ ）a bit more room の文のカッコに当てはまる言葉を解く問題が記載されてあったのですが、 これは【もうすこし部屋が広かったらよかったのに】という意味の文の仮定法だと思い、私が(could had)と答えたところ、正解の答えは(had)でした。なぜこの文にcouldはつかないで、hadなのですか？ きっと私の訳し方が間違っているのかと思うのですが、そもそも仮定法というのは、If節やIf節の前後にある文章の主語の後にcouldやwould、mightがつくのではないのでしょうか？ なんだかさっぱり仮定法のこと自体分からなくなってしまったので、どなたか教えて下さい。 よろしくおねがいいたします！

- この仮定法の意味はあっていますか？
仮定法の例文として， (1)If the sun were to rise in the west,I would never go there. 「万が一太陽が西から昇っても，私はそこへ行きません．」 とありました． この種類の仮定法は，起こりそうもないことを，強調して仮定していると思うのです． 他の例文：(2)If he should fail,he would try again. [万が一彼が失敗したら，彼はまたやるでしょう．」とあります． 「もし～でも」と言う表現は[even if/though]とありました． では(1)の例文はEven if the sun～.と続くのではないでしょうか？ この種類の仮定法にはeven ifの意味もあるのですか？

仮定法過去完了でつまずいているものです。 仮定法過去が I wish + S'+過去形に対し 過去完了が I wish + S'+過去完了形 のようですが、 I wish I could speak English fluently. 流暢に英語が話せたらいいのにな の文を過去完了で使うとしたらどのような文章になるのかわかりません。 それかこれは上の分そのままの文でしか使えませんか？

I don't konw where he lived,so Ican't go and see him. を仮定法で表現しなさい。 回答：If I knew where he lived,I could go and see him. 仮定法にする際If節の主動詞をknewと過去形にしたので、それにつられてliveを過去形になるそうです。 I would do it myself if I knew it's that easy. こういう文を見ました。 これを上記の質問文に直すと、 I don't konw it's that easy,so I don't do it myself. になり、 I would do it myself if I knew it was that easy. it was that easy.と過去形になるのではないでしょうか。 現在形のままでいいとしたら、この２つの文の違いがわかりません。 過去の仮定法の質問、回答をみましたが、よくわかりません。教えてください。

仮定法について気になることがあります。 I wonder if you'd like to come to our Thanksgiving party. という例文がありますが、もしこれを過去形にして、 I wondered if… I was wondered if… となったとき、if節以降の文は、 if you'd have liked to come to our Thanksgiving party. となるのでしょうか？ would like toのwouldは仮定法だと思うので、 If I had not have a plan, I would have gone to your party. の、主節の用法と同じような感じで過去形になるのでしょうか？ それか、would like toはもう仮定法は用いていますが、ひとつの熟語として考え、 いかなる場合もwould have liked toのように過去形にはせず常に would like toの現在形で使った方がいいでしょうか？ 気になったので回答お願いします。

質問です。 現在・未来について仮定する際にも用いるようですが、 (1)If it is fine tomorrow, I will go out. (2)If it were fine tomorrow, I would go out (1)の文は可能性が有ると判断するので現在形。 (2)の文は可能性が無いと判断するので仮定法過去。 となるのでしょうか。 (1)は時・条件副詞節中は、未来のことでも現在で表す…との解釈もありますが、仮定法の解釈で云う「可能性が有る」というとも解釈できますか。 また、未来のことも可能性がほぼゼロであれば仮定法過去で表すということですが、(2)の文のように、tomorrowがあるのにwereを使ってもいいのでしょうか。 さらに、万一のshouldは「可能性が少しある」時に使うようですが、そうなると (3)If it should be fine tomorrow, I will[would?] go out. となるのでしょうか。主節のwillかwouldかの区別も「？」です。 以上、ご高見を拝借願います！

(3)If it were to rain tomorrow, I would not go to the park. この(1)(2)(3)の３つの文のニュアンスの違いを教えて下さい。 (1)は直説法、(2)はshouldを用いた未来の叙想法、(3)はwere toで仮説を 強調するといいますが、実際にどういう場面で使うのかがみえません。 よろしくお願いします。
