thay（構文）についてお願いします。
1999のNHKテキストで英語の勉強をしているのですが、以下がどうしても不明ですので、お手数ですが、お判りになる方おられましたら、ご回答お願いします。 【質問】 Miguel and Leigh are discussing possible topics for a documentary that Miguel wants Leigh to help him shoot for one of his journalism classes. ここでのthatは、構文上何になるのでしょうか？ 訳文をみてもいまいちしっくりきません。どうか宜しくお願いします。

そのまま見て 動詞は are discussing wants shootの３個のように見えます。 動詞の数－１＝接続詞の数＋関係詞の数 の式を使うと、接続詞・関係詞あわせて２個要ります。 １個はthatが見つかりますが、２個目が見つかりません。 となると、省略か、そもそも動詞でないものもカウントしている可能性があります。よく見るとto helpの後のshootは準動詞で動詞ではありません。 これで２－１＝１となり成立します。 左側に関係詞・接続詞のないare discussing が主節です。 動詞に着目しながら主語目的語を見ていくと。 (Miguel and Leigh=)S V(=are discussing) O(=possible topics) for a documentary that (Miguel=)S V(= wants) O(=Leigh=)s v(=to help)o(=him=)s' v'(=shoot) for one of his journalism classes. 小文字は準動詞の文型です。 そこでv’の目的語o'が見当たりません。ということは関係詞thatの掛かっているものが本来は入ります。 o'＝a documentary thatは関係代名詞でいいと思います。

文法の選択問題の １．The teacher suggested (me to, for me to, that I)see him. ２．Will you please take steps to (care, keep, make, see) that this doesn't happen again. などが正解できませんでした。 例えば「動詞＋人＋that」、「動詞＋人＋of」などいろいろな構文がありますが、 各動詞が取りうる構文について体系的に詳しく、分かりやすく説明してある参考書やＨＰを教えていただきたいのすが？

- 訳と構文を教えてください
下のような文章にぶつかりました。 単純に「so that」の構文だと思ったのですが、「challenges」のあとが「reason and belief」という名詞になっているので、わからなくなってしまいました。ちなみに、古い英文の本に載っていたもので、カンマ、ピリオド、スペルも確認してあります。 訳し方と、できれば文の構造を説明していただけれるとうれしいのですが。 I became well acquainted with him, and, little by little, he told me his story, so marvelous, that its very daring challenges reason and belief.

こんにちは。 下記の構文は、英文法の問題としてはよく見る有名なものなのですが、 これらは大昔のもので、今はあまり実際に使われていないんだよ、というものがあれば、教えてください。 (1)Hardly had he entered the office when he realized that he had forgotten his wallet. (2)No sooner had he entered the office than he realized that he had forgotten his wallet. (3)Not until he had come back home did John notice that he had left his wallet. (4)It was not until he had come back home that he noticed that he had left his wallet. (5)Not a day passed but my mother prayed for me.
