beggarは元々「begする（＝乞い求める）人」の意味ですよね。 そこから考えると、beggars of glamourは「glamour（人を魅了する魔法のような魅力）を乞い求める人々」の意味だと思います。 つまり、ここで描写されているのは、次のような光景だと思います。 ケネディが白い歯をみせてにっこり笑いかけると、それを見た人々は魔法にかかったようにケネディに夢中になる。（glamourというのは、そういうこと） 皆は、ケネディに対して「きゃー、こっち向いて」とか言っている。はたから見ているノーマン・メイラーには、それが「おねがいです、王子さま。こちらを向いて、私にも愛の呪文をお恵みください」と言っているように見えた。（beggars of glamour）
