英語というのは、非常に細かいのですよ。 そういうことに気をつけて勉強されたほうがいいです。 所有格、不定冠詞、定冠詞、複数形などは、日本語では ほとんど不要または無いですから、気をつけて 学習する必要があります。 ちなみに、Although It's hot,I don't use air conditioner. のItもitですが、これは大きな誤りとみなされます。 ｍｙを入れてもまだ誤解を招くところがあります。 Ｎｏ．５の専門家さんの書かれているとおり、 こういう場合はneverを使うのが普通です。 暑いけど、というのは、今の気温のことを 言っているのですが、後の「エアコンは使わない」は、 いつも使わないのが普通だ、というニュアンスでしょうから never useです。don't useなら、今回に限り使わないと とられるのが普通です。 じゃ、エアコンは何に使っているんだ？ と思う外人さんもいるかも知れません。（笑）

my air conditioner は 私のエアコン、あなたや他所のエアコンではない、の意味ですよね。"他所の家"のエアコンを使うのでしょうか？ それこそおかしいと 思いますよ。 エアコンなる物を使わない、と言う意味なら No. 5, No. 6さんの書かれている通りだと思います。

（家に）エアコンを1個持っている。だけどそのエアコンは暑い時でも使わない。 ならば、 my air conditioner 一般的にエアコンを使わない ならば、 air conditioners 大きな誤りではないですけどちょっと不自然です。 I like to read booksの代わりにI like to read bookと言う様なものなので。 ちょっとずれますが、個人的には "I don't use..."より"I rarely/hardly/never use..."や"I don't use... most of the time/often"とかの方が自然だと思います

冠詞が抜けてるってだけではないですかね？ その文章、どう読んだって、エアコンを使わない以外の意味にならないと思います。 エアコンの所有の問題ではないと思います。

I can't understand english.とI can't understand your english.とではまったく意味が違ってきますよね。前者は英語が分からないという意味になり、後者では、あなたの言ってる英語が分からないという意味になりますよね。

例えば、 "I take my wallet out of my pocket"（ポケットから財布を取り出す） で、"my"を書き忘れたら、誰のパケットから誰の財布を取り出すのか分りませんよね。財布泥棒なのかと不審に思われます。 "my"の有る無しでは、聞き手が理解する内容が、全く違うと言っても言い過ぎではないです。

日本語訳お願いします my school is situated in an old palace and the corridor are very tangled! we have two intern gardens,but we can use just one of them! My classroom isn't so desiderable...we ahve an elevator behind the cupboard and a door against the wall at 3 meters from the floor( we don't know what's behind the strange door...and my classmates are very interested about it ^-^) I think this is the worst classroom of the school, because it's really hot! but for a long time I appreciate it ^-^ at least it's clean and new(enough) How's your classroom?=) ところどころ辞書で調べても？なとこるがあります。よろしくお願いします。

大学クラブのネーミングを如何にするかを、英語授業の題材にしています。「インド旅行クラブ」という意味で、(1)Traveling India Clubとした学生がいましたが、直感的に、正しくは(2)Traveling in India Clubとすべきと思いました。しかし、辞書によるとtravelという動詞は、主に自動詞として使われますが、他動詞としても使われるので、(3)My father traveled the whole world.という表現もあります。これに倣うと上記(1)も誤りではないことになりそうで、うかつに訂正できない気がします。そこで質問ですが、この場合の正解は下記のうちどれでしょうか？ １．(1)は 誤りではないが、適切な表現は(2)である。 ２．(3)の場合と違い(1)は英語としておかしく、(2)を使うべき。 ３．(1)(2)どちらを使ってもＯＫ。 個人的には、２のような気がしますが、学生には慎重にコメントしたいので、ご意見をお願いします。特に旅行業でこのような表現に詳しい方に実際の現場ではどうなのかを教えて貰えると有難いです。 よろしくお願いします。
