ウエスタンユニオンによる海外送金

中国の会社にサンプルを依頼しました。もともと、無料のサンプルですが、送料着払いでとお願いしたところ、ウエスタンユニオンで送って下さいとの英文の返事が来ました。調べたところ、ウエスタンユニオン自体は日本ではスルガ銀行だけのサービスのようで、しかも店頭送金は横浜と東京だけと、困っています。当方、静岡在住です。 質問は以下です。 1.EMSなどのサービスで、送料が着払いとなるサービスは無いのか？ （あれば、そのサービスで送って欲しいと先方に依頼してみます） 2.ウエスタンユニオンを使う意図 （先方の会社は担当者の名前等の情報を記載してきて、「ここに入金してください」というような文面が見て取れます。） 英文は以下の通りです。（一部消しこみ） この英文の意味もお分かりの方がいましたら、ご教授いただけると助かります。 Dear ****** Thank you for your kind email. 1) Please pay us through WESTERN UNION FULL NAME: ****** FIRST NAME: ****** LAST NAME:****** COUNTRY: ****** 2)We mean despatch time is not later than 25/Sept'2006,not arrival time,please note. we will send to you asap. Please let us have your postage payment asap. Thank you. Look forward to your early cooperations. Best regards,

こんにちは。 質問者様は送料着払いの方法をご希望のようですが、見た感じ向こうは先に送料分を送ってくれたらサンプルを送るつもりなのではないでしょうか。たぶん国際郵便だと送料着払いの送り方はないと思います。 ウエスタンユニオンを使うとたとえば質問者様が外貨建てで外国送金ができる銀行口座をお持ちでない場合に、わざわざそういう口座を開かずに、海外送金ができると思ってこの方法を指定したんだと思います。日本ではあまり知られていませんが、ウエスタンユニオンは結構外国でよく使われています。日本ではほとんどまだ使えないサービスと言うことをおそらく向こうは知らないのではないでしょうか。 なので、ウエスタンユニオンは日本であまり普及していないから、銀行振り込みにできないか(質問者様が海外送金できる口座をお持ちなら)と向こうに聞いてみる、または手っ取り早くEMSでこちらから現金を送る(確かホントはいけないんですけどね)という方法でもいいか、を聞いてみたらどうでしょう。 英文の方は1)はそのままだから訳しませんが、2の方は「2006年9月25日以前にと言うのは発送時期のことであって、到着時期ではありません。すぐにお送りいたします。送料代金をすぐお送りください。」ですか。asap はAs soon as possibleの略で「すぐに」、Look forward to xxは　「xxを楽しみにしている」が直訳で、この場合は『早くお願いしますねー』の遠まわし表現でしょうか。日付に関しては以前質問者様とのやり取りがあった話のようですね。
