主語は？
以下の文章は英字新聞に載っていたものです。 so以下が主語がなくisではじまっているのですが、主語は何でしょうか？ the hotelでしょうか？ それともitが省略されていて、しかもそれは仮主語でto get以下を指しているのでしょうか？ The hotel is right next to the RER B train station at the airport so is extremely convenient to get in and out from Paris.

確かに言いたいことは，「そのホテルは駅に近くて便利だ」ということです。 The hotel is convenient. で「そのホテルは近くて便利でありがたい」のような意味になるのです。 コウビルド英英辞典によると， If you describe a place as convenient, you are pleased because it is near to where you are, or because you can reach another place from there quickly and easily. と説明されています。 the hotel is right next to ～という内容を受けているのであれば，it で受けるか，コンマ which などでつなげるでしょう。この it は省略できません。主語が共通だから省略されているのです。 ご質問者のいうように，形式主語構文と考えるのも難しいと思います。やはり，it が省略できないというのもありますが，それより，to get ～「パリに来たり，パリから出ていったりすること」が便利，ではないでしょう？「パリに来たり，パリから出ていったりするのに」便利，ということです。この to 不定詞は名詞的なものでなく，(is) convenient にかかる副詞的なものです。

主語がhotelかitかっていいますが、itとかheとかsheとかは代名詞として使われるでしょ。itが何を指すのかって言ったらthe hotel、もしくはthe hotelにかかる後の文章全体をitとしているんでしょ。だったら主語はthe hotelで代名詞がitなんでないかい？学校で習ったよ。
主語はThe hotelです。itが省略されているとも解釈できますが、述語を二つ持っていて、前半が理由で、後半が結果を表しています。 蛇足かもしれませんが、RERは Reseau Express Regionalの略で rapid-transit rail system serving Greater Parisのことです。

意見がわれてますね。私は主語はthe hotelだと思いました。これが一つの文章になってることから、主語はhotelなんじゃないかなーと。根拠はありません。フィーリングです。ごめんなさい。

主語はitです。ホテルが駅に近いということが便利ということなので、ＨＯＴＥＬが主語ではありません。

主語は the hotel です。 文頭で So ～とか，and so ～の形の方がなじみやすいですが，コンマも and もなく，so を接続詞として用いることがあります。

再度の質問ですがよろしくお願いします。 少し前に"I live near the train station, so it is convenient to get to work."という文章でitが何を指しているかという質問をさせて頂きました。では以下の文はどうでしょうか？ 訳は『朝にきちんと食事をするのは面倒である』のような感じになると思うですが、文頭のitはやはりto eat・・ではなく別のものを指しているのでしょうか？例えば『物事・準備などの時間』でしょうか？つまり、朝きちんと食事することによって物事が便利でなくなる（朝はそんな時間がない！）みたいな。どうでしょうか？ It is not convenient to eat properly in the morning.

英訳お願いいたします。 The only way my day could start better is if you were here :) I quickly checked the train schedule and it's a bit disappointing. You would have to travel to Paris and then take a train from Paris to the airport. The last direct train leaves too early. I'll drive you back to the airport as well, ok? The traffic in Paris is a nightmare ... but since the airport is north of Paris ... it should be ok. So you don't need to arrange a train ticket, ok? Even before today I was considering going to Paris ... but I don't think we have enough time. Satomi! 4 days is very short :) You will have to come back another time, when it's warmer, sunnier ... and we can visit Paris ... Yes in Belgium it's also getting colder. Now it's about 15 degrees, but earlier this week it was only 3 degrees when I went running this week :) You don't like seafood? Hmm ... are you sure you enjoyed the sushi in Osaka? I hope so. As for the mussels, I think I can find a restaurant where you can eat something typically Belgian and then I can eat mussels. So then you can try some, is that ok for you? Please tell me other things you don't like ... because I liked to see a happy ●● :)
