英訳を見てください
「あなたが空しく生きた今日は、昨日死んでいった人が、あれほど生きたいと願った明日。」 これを英語にしてみましたら、こうなりました。 If you spent today in vain, just remember that for someone who died yesterday, today is the tomorrow that they so yearned to live for. 初心者なもんで、厳しく手直しして頂ければうれしいです♪ 自分では８０点ぐらいかと思ってんですけど、皆さんから見るとどうでしょ☆ とても難しかったので、手伝ってくださいね♪

こんばんは。 なかなか、メッセージ性のある文ですね。自分の一日を振り返ってしまいました…(^^;) miniroseさんの訳ですが、そうですね、頑張った甲斐もあり、私にはなかなかのできのように思えます(^^)。 "just remember that..." の部分にメッセージ性を感じ取れるような気がします。 ひとつ私にも挑戦させてください。 "The day you spent vainly is the day the deceased was longing for." 英語のことわざなどには、シンプルにテンポのいいものが多いので、そのあたりを意識して訳してみました。

It is tomorrow wished that the person who died yesterday lives desperately. との回答を見つけました。 そこで １行目なのですがこのthat を使わずに同じ意味で表すことができますでしょうか？ thatを使うこの方法が一番自然であればこのままの使い方を覚えるようにします。 そして2行目なのですがこのthatは関係代名詞ですか？ 先行詞がwishedだと動詞ですよね？動詞の先行詞というのは存在するのですか？ それとも別のthat用法なのでしょうか。 にしても It is tomorrow の後に動詞は置けるのでしょうか。 ちなみに who 以下と先行詞personの関係は理解できます。 最後の3行目のlivesですが生きたいという ～したい という扱いになるのですか？ 後ろにdesperatelyがくるとそうなるのでしょうか。 当方want to しか 使えないレベルですのでこの使い方ができるのであれば新発見となります。 どなたがご教授頂ければ幸いです。よろしくお願いします。

お世話になっております。 以下の文についてお教え頂けないでしょうか。 How long have they spent on that reserch? spentの後は時間がくるものだと考えました。また、spentは他動詞と理解しています。 この文の回答は、たとえばfor a week やsince last week などがくると思います。 これらは副詞だと思います。 もしそうであれば、 They have spent for a week on that reserchと spentが目的をとらないことになります。 この矛盾をどう考えたらよろしいでしょうか？ それともわたくしなにか間違っていますでしょうか？ ご指導の程何卒宜しくお願い致します。

今日は残念なお知らせをあなたに言わなくてはいけません。 それは今年の短期留学についてなんですが、募集された人数が16人ぐらいでした。 でも今年の希望者は25人ぐらいいました。そう、１０人以上いけなくなるってことです。 だから去年短期留学をした人は今年は行けないということになってしまいました。 今年は誰かが行けなくなったりしない限りは行けないです。 まだ確実に行けないとは言い切れないですが、ほぼ今年は無理だと思います。 本当に楽しみにしてたのに残念です。 I have to tell you something not cool... this year 16 people had recruit for the short term abroad,but there is about 25 people who enter the name for this...that means over 10 people won't be able to go...so who went last year they can't abroad this year unless someone decide to not to go. I can't say that these people who abroaded are surely unable to go, but I think this is quite imposible...
