American students are notorious for playing practical joke. (アメリカの学生はいたずらをすることで有名だ。) playing practical jokeの意味上の主語はAmerican studentsでしょうか？

It is easy to answer the questuion.に意味上の主語を加えた場合、 It is easy <for me> to answer the question.となると思います。 では、 It is easy answering the question.と動名詞の場合も、 It is easy <for me> answering the question.としてよいのでしょうか。実際にこのような使われ方はするのでしょうか。 恐れ入りますが、おしえていただければと思います。

The students are my friends. They are playing baseball. を関係代名詞を使って一つの文にすると、 先行詞が the studentsになるので、The students who are playing baseball are my friends. となると思いますが、my friendsを先行詞にして、The students are my friends who are playing baseball.ともなれるのではと尋ねられ、訳するとおかしいのですが、理由を説明できません。理由を教えていただきたいです。

Some illnesses are caused through people not using medicines properly. のthroght以降の文法がよくわからないのですが、 前置詞の後に、意味上の主語＋動名詞＋目的語が来ていると考えてよいでしょうか？ 前置詞の後は名詞が来ると思うのですが、 これは文法的にはどのようになっているのでしょうか？

Do you mind closing the window? を日本語訳するとどうなりますか。 僕は「あなたは気にしますか。私がドアを閉めることを（直訳）」だと思うのですが、プリントには「窓を開けて下さいますか？（意訳）」とあります。 ここで聞きたいのは closing の「意味上の主語は誰か」ということです。不定詞ではこれを 「for you」等とと表わし、動名詞では前置詞の目的語のときなど 「of your ～ing」と表わしたりします。これがない時は動名詞の主語は主文の主語＝you、話者＝I、どちらでとらえればいいのでしょうか。 誰を主語としてとらえ、また何故そう考えられるかを教えて下さい。
