doller → dollar 添削 私が1ドルのチケットを店に戻し、100ドルと交換で1ドルのチケットを渡したことは最高でした！ 試訳 私があの1ドルのチケットをお店に持って行き、100ドルに換金したときは気分最高でした。 ★まずtookしたので「持っていった」→つぎにturned it inで「渡した」のですが、forがあるので100ドルと交換で渡したことになります。要するに100ドルに換金したことになります。 以上、ご参考になればと思います。

＊スーツケースを購入した時の話です。 I bought a suitcase which price was about $200. Because suitcase that I used it before was broken when I came here in August. I wanted it that strong, durable, useful, light and reasonable. It took about 2 days to decide on the purchase. Because I bought it on internet, but I wanted to see it for real. 海外オークションにて、アメリカ在住の人と取引しました。 送料４．５ポンドぐらいものを保険つきで送ってくれと依頼しましたら 送料として６０ドルの請求がきました。 入金をすませ、品物も届きましたが、ラベルには送料＄３６と書かれ、 別に「インシュアランス」ラベルが貼られてました。 ？？？と思って送り主にといあわせたところ 下記のごとくです。 保険ってそんなに高いものなんですか？ ご存知の方教えてください。 since it was out of the country the insurance was seprate from the shipping. The reason I didnt send tracking numbers(when you emailed me a few days ago) was because they have to send it seperate when it goes out of the country. That is the way the ups is in my town does it. Insurance was $27 for $100 items to Japan

参考書などみておると、 put the book where(＝to the place where) you find it とあるのですが、この()内のwhereはto whichのことだと、思いますが、このwhereは接続詞になると説明しています。 そこで質問したいのですが、もしこれが接続詞だどすると、 前置詞＋the place＋where＝whereの接続詞となるので、 さらにこれをwhenにあてはめると when he turned up,the party was over. ＝the party was over at the time．he turned up at the time． ＝the party was over at the time when he turned up. ＝the party was over when he turned up. つまり、whereと同様に 前置詞＋the time＋when＝whenの接続詞 もしこれが成立したとすると、 whenの接続詞は前置詞＋the time＋whenから来たものなんですか？ 回答お願いします。
