ABC Inc. offers readers a subscription to its online newspaper that allows them to read additional articles. ABC社は、追加記事が読めるインターネット新聞の購読を読者に提供しています。 to its online newspaper以降の文法が理解できません。 解説いただけないでしょうか。

「新TOEIC TEST文法特急」という本の中に、 The magazine is near its goals of nationwide distribution and one million subscribed readers. （その雑誌は、全国販売と百万人の購読者獲得という目標達成を目前に控えている。） という問題文(問題はnearの部分に何が入るかというものでした)があったのですが、” subscribed readers”という表現が腑に落ちません。 readers are subscribing the magazine なのだから、subscribing readers とすべきなのではないでしょうか？ 問題文を直訳すると、「百万の購読されている読者たち」と変な日本語になりませんか？ ※ちなみに、「yahoo翻訳」でsubscribed readersを訳すと、予約された「読本」 となります。 subscribing readersで訳すと、予約している読者 となります。

Regarding your second question, I think it is necessary for children to have it. In an emergency, they contact their family. Finally, I don't think people should be banned it. E-mailing and using Internet is silent. When I have learned a thousand English words, will I be able to read an English newspaper? この文の"a thousand English words"の中の"a"がなぜつくのかわかりません。wordsだから複数ではないんでしょうか？ 不定冠詞の使い方が文法書とか読んでも法則がよくわからないです。 英語キライすぎる。
