英文について
基本的な事柄でお恥ずかしいのですが、以下の３点についてお願いします。 (1)He never turns up without making a fuss. なぜ、turnに三人称単数現在のsがつくのでしょうか？たぶん、neverが原因だとおもうのですが、この辺りの解説お願いします。 (2)I'm at a loss about what to do with the mess. このaboutは何から導かれているのでしょうか？ (3)He came up with a terrific solution to the complex problem. なぜ、toとなるのでしょうか？（和訳は問題ありません。）

基本的且つやや高度なご質問ですね。 (1) He turns up without making a fuss. という肯定文に副詞のneverが挿入されただけであり、否定文の形態を成していません。 ですので三単現のsが生きているわけです。 (2) 特に何から導かれているという訳ではありません。「～について、～を」 という一般的な前置詞の使用法ですね。 (3) 「～に対する、～に直面する」というtoですね。 例）an answer to the question

いま参考にしているテキストにこういう文章があります。 He came up with an ingenious , sensible solution and immediately put it into practice . この文章なのですが and の前で一旦文章を区切るのはわかるのですが、それなら前の節は He came up with an ingenious and sensible solution となるのではないでしょうか？ それとも and は用法が異なっても２回繰り返すことができないということで and が省略されてしまっているのでしょうか？もしそうだと前の節が不完全な文章のようにも感じます。そういうものなのでしょうか？ 拙い文章ですみません。言っている意味わかりますかね？ 理解できた方はもしよかったら回答をお願いします。

こんにちは、英語を最近勉強し始めました。 いろいろと調べてみて評判のよいDUO 3.0を使い始めたのですが、どうしても引っかかってしまう文章があり、文法について質問させてください。 84. He came up with an ingenious, sensible solution and immediately put it into practice. （彼は独創的かつ賢明な解決策を考え出し、直ちにそれを実行に移した） という例文なのですが、ingenious, sensibleのカンマの意味がよくわかりません。 ・ingeniousはsolutionにかかっており、sensibleと並列（and）として使われていると思うのですが、ingenious and sensible solutionではないのでしょうか？ ・カンマを用いる場合、3つ以上並んでいないと使えないと思っているのですが、これは間違えでしょうか？ ・He came up with an ingenious and sensible solution, and immediately put it into practice. だとおかしいのでしょうか？ 中学英語並の文法しか知らず恐縮です。。。

Toeicの問題の選択肢で To request that he review a book. というのがあるんですが、なぜ３人称単数のSがつかないんでしょうか？

People always want something, which is money, friends, a time and so on. My father often says, "I want PC". If he get to PC, would he satisfied with this? I don't think so. Because he wants something is not only PC. He wants to get a car, a bicycle or a big home. I suppose that there is nothing people who don't want something. 英文添削お願いします。Argentine I heard from my friend who made a trip to the U.K that when he was at Heathrow Airport , an /one immigration officer had asked him many 1uestions about why you came to England ,how long he would be staying,and how much money he had and so on .Then he had fed up with them and and felt himself being racially discriminated After retuning to Argentine,he told me he would never go there again. 2 I heard from my friend who made a trip to the U.K that when at Heathrow Airport,he had been asked many questions about～.（上記と同じ） ３heard from my friend who made a trip to the U.K that an/one immigration officer at Heathrow Airport had asked him many questions by saying"Why did you come to England?,How long and where will you be staying? ,How much money do you have? and so on."Then～. アルゼンチン人と話をしていて、時制など関係なく話していて、３等はaboutをlike"～"のような言い方だったと思うのですが、「イギリスに行った友達が空港で何しに来たの、何日間どこでいるの、所持金は？とかいっぱい質問されたって聞いたよ。もう行かないって言ってたよ」と一文で纏めたいのですが（自然な表現で）１から３をは不自然とは思うのですが使える部分や修正して頂ければ有り難いです。 また違う表現があれば教えていただければより有り難いです。 よろしくお願いします。

- 三単現のSとa/anについて
こんにちは。 三単現のSの付け方とa/anの付け方を解り易くお教え頂けないでしょうか。 因に一人称、二人称は付けないが三人称単数現在の時に付けるという事は理解しています。例えば、he will doであってhe will doesではないと理解しています(正しいでしょうか？)が、ネイティブの知人のメール内にhe still worksと書いてあり、混乱してしまいました。 willとstillはどう違うのでしょう。 また、a/anですが、単数の時に付けるのは勿論解っていますが、必ずしも数えられない状態を表す様な単語にもよくa/anがついていますよね。 この法則もわかりません。 どなた様か解り易くお教え頂けないでしょうか。 よろしくお願いします。
