＞the poor must do without it even though, by law and theoretically, they have as good a right to just as much of it as have the rich. 「貧しい人々は自由時間をたっぷりと持つ余裕などなく毎日を過ごさなければならない、たとえ法律的にまた理論的に貧しい人々がお金持ちと同じくらい（たっぷりと）自由時間を持つ権利を同じくらい（十分に）持っているとしても・・・。」 前の２つの「as」はどちらも最後の「as」と繋がっていると考えると良いでしょう。下記の２つの英文をひとつにまとめたものだと考えることができます。 The have AS good a right AS the rich have. 「彼らは金持ちと同じくらい（十分に）権利と持っている。 They have a right to AS much of it AS the rich have. 「彼らは金持ちと同じくらい（たっぷりと）自由時間を持つ権利を持っている。」 最後の「as the rich have」が「as have the rich」となっているのは（弱強弱強という）リズムをつくるためだと考えて下さい。 ご参考になれば・・・。
