解釈で悩んでいます

以下の文の意味がいまいち分かりません。 「I pray that all that I have done, this is my payoff.」 子どもの頃からバレリーナを目指してきた女性が バレエ団の試験を受ける前に言った言葉です。 私の解釈は、「私はこれまでしてきたこと（バレエの練習）が この試験で報われることを祈っています」です。 これで間違ってないでしょうか？ どなたか分かる方、お知恵を貸してください。 どうぞよろしくお願いします。

"You were in more danger than perhaps anyone but I realized."について 日本語訳では "君がどんなに危険な状態にあるかを認識しておったのは、わしだけだったじゃろう。" とあるのですが、なぜこのような日本語訳になるのでしょうか？ "You were in more danger than perhaps anyone." だと "君は他の人よりもっと危険な状態にあった" となると思うんですが、そこに"but I realize"がつくとなぜ上記のような訳になるのか教えてください。 2.
