ネイティブの方や英語の得意な方に質問です。
「亡くなった方の顔」は英語でどのように表現しますか？ 自分で考えたのは「a dead human face」 、「the face of a dead man」などですが、間違っていると思うので質問させていただきました。 どうか回答よろしくお願い致します。

文脈にもよりますが「the face of a dead man」は正しいです。間違っていると思う根拠は何でしょう。文脈を補足していただければ解説できると思います。 「a dead human face」は「亡くなった方の顔」ではなくて「死んでいる顔」です。つまり、体などはさておき、顔自体が死んでいるという意味ですね。私はちょっと状況が想像しにくいですが、例えば「死人のような（生物学上は生きている）顔」などを指して言うことはできると思います。

死者は男性とは限らないと考えれば、 a face of a dead person くらいが妥当では？

タイトルに明記してありますように、 英語が話せる方あるいは英語に詳しい方、ご助力をお願いします。 『Pokerface（ポーカーフェイス）』という英単語がありますが、 (1)このポーカーフェイスが崩れ落ちる、という（客観的な）意味合いの表現をしたい時、 英語ではなんと言えばいいのでしょうか。 あるいは、 (2)『周囲にはポーカーフェイスだと思われているが、 あなたの前ではいつだってポーカーフェイスでなんていられない』という意味合いの表現、 あるいは、 (3)ポーカーフェイスの人たち、という意味合いの表現。 下手の物好きで小説を書いているのですが、 現在そのタイトルを考えているんです。 登場人物らの性格やお話の筋から、 『Pokerface』という英単語は絶対含ませたいと思っておりまして。 イメージから『Pokerfacers』（複数人いるポーカーフェイスの人）なんて造語も 思いついたのですが、 英語に詳しい方から見た時、引いてしまうようなイメージだったらイヤだなと。 タイトルなので、 教科書に載ってるような、おきまりで丁寧すぎる長文になってしまうと大変困るというのもあります。 『○○○ ～×××～』みたいな、主題と副題があるならまだいいのですが。 楽曲のタイトルのように、 一言でビシッと締まって、興味が引かれるような感じにしたいのです。 どうか、ご助力をよろしくお願い致します。

Seen from a distance, it looked like a human face. という英文があります。これを日本語で表現すると、「離れたところから見ると、それは人間の顔のように見えた」となって、「見ると」と能動的な表現になります。どうして、日本語も英語と同じように「離れたところから見られると」とならないのでしょうか？
