意味がよくわかりません。

意味がよくわかりません。 先日、外国からのレターをもらったのですが、意味不明です。 Enclosed, please a copy of a communication from U.S. Patent and Trademark Office dated (April 17, 2010). 禁区、2010年４月17日付けのUSPTOからの連絡のコピーを喜ばせてください。 何を言っているのか、よくわかりません。

No1回答者です。 Enclosed please find... というのは英文ビジネスレターの慣用句で、findが略されるのは見たことがありませんので、うっかりタイプミスしたと思われます。外人が完全な英語を使うとは限らないのは、日本人の日本語が不完全なのと同様で、要注意です。

pleaseの後にfindが略されているようで、 「010年４月17日付けのUSPTOからの通知（写し）を同封します」という意味です。
