werewolf が狼人間なので、兎人間？ werewolf にはハイフンは要りませんが、兎人間はあまり一般的な語ではないのであえてつけたのかもしれません。 were- は人間という意味です。 意味が通りますか。

People were lined up in back of the bus. (人々が、バスの後ろに並んでいます。) 上記の文章が、テキストに載っています。 この場合、現在の事を言っているのでwere でなくare を使うのではと思うのですが、wereになる理由が分かりません。 仮定法ではないですよね・・・ よろしくお願いします。
