翻訳してください。

もうすぐ英語でのプレゼンテーションがあるのですが、翻訳できなくて困っています。 勝手な事を言っているのは承知ですが、英訳できる方、よろしくお願いいたします。 --------------------------------------------- 「七五三」 七五三とは、男の子は3歳と5歳、女の子は3歳と7歳の年の11月15日に子供の成長を祝って神社・寺などに参拝する年中行事である。 現在では、全国で盛んに行われている行事だが、元来は関東圏における地方の風俗であった。行事に正装に準じた衣装（晴れ着）で臨み、千歳飴など買って帰ることが行われるようになった。 元々近世まで日本は、現在の発展途上国と同じ様に栄養不足、貧困が原因で乳幼児が成人するまでの成人率が極めて低く、その事から乳幼児の生存を祝う節目として定着した。 ------------------------------------------------
