The choice of means by which we resolve conflict is, of course, also political, as that choice is the “how” in determining who gets what, when, and how. という英文があるのですが… ・一文目の””内はどういうことでしょうか？ 「紛争は必ずしも悪いことではない。それは私たちに違いを明確に表してくれる。」でしょうか？；の後の訳し方（何を言いたいのか）がわからないです。 ・３段落目のThe choice以降は「私たちが紛争を解決する選択はもちろん政治でもあります。それは誰が何をいつ、どこで、どのように得るのかをどのように選択するかだ」という訳であっているでしょうか？ politics is who gets what, when, and, howという文章が前にあったので、それに繋がってくると思うのですが… ややこしくてすみません。 よろしくお願いします。

「The man took the tortoise to his home.」 これを受動態にしなさい、という問題なのですが、 自分は The tortoise was taken to his home by the man. としたのですが、模範解答では、 The tortoise was taken to the man's home by him. となっていました。 自分の解答と比べて何故そうなるのかが分かりません。 出来れば説明をいただけると助かります。お願いします。

よろしくお願いします。 次の英文について質問です。テキストの問題です。 A man named Wilhelm was staying at an inn. この英文は文脈なしの一行だけです。 この文のAについて質問です。 というのも、これは、分詞の形容詞的用法の後置ですが、 a manは、後ろからnamed Wilhelmと限定されているので、 a man ではなく、the manになるのでわないでしょうか。 文脈無しなので、この質問は無意味か、と思う一方で、 後ろから限定されるなら、やはりこの一文だけでもa manではなく、the man になると思ったのですが。。。 ちなみに訳は、 ウィルヘルムという名の男が宿屋に宿泊していた。 です。 よろしくお願い致します。
