英文和訳の添削 動名詞を含む構文
動名詞を含む構文です。 自分で和訳したのですが 添削お願いします。 Unless there is a good reason for it being in your writing ,do not put opinion there. あなたの書いたものにそれにたいするもっともな理由がないかぎり そこには意見をいれるな。 We all have opinions about almost everything ,and the temptation to toss them in is great. 私たちはみんな ほとんどすべてのものに意見があり、 意見をほうりこむ誘惑が大きい。 以上です 構文の短文問題なので、前後の文はありません。 お願いします。

「自分の意見を文章に入れる十分な理由がない限り、（そこに意見を）入れてはいけない」 こういう教訓めいた一般論では、you＝あなた（二人称） とは訳さないのが良いです。したがって文末も、「入れてはいけない」というふうに、呼びかける感じをなくした訳にしました。あと、受験だと（）も書かなきゃいけないのかなぁと思いますが、どっちでも良い気もします。 「私たちは誰もが、ほとんどあらゆる事に対して意見を持っており、文章に意見を入れたくなる誘惑は大きい。」 質問者さんも１さんも「みんな」と訳しているところを「誰もが」としたのは、自分の訳のクセのせいが大きいんですが、「みんなほとんどすべて」と書くと文法的に正しいかは別にして、「みんなほとんど」とか読めてしまって読みにくいし英文とは異なってくるので、「私たち」という人間を示す「誰」を使いました。 あと、大体意見を持つ対象は「もの」よりも「こと」の方が常識的に多いような気がしたので、「こと」にしました。（前後の文も無いとのことなので）

こんにちは。 文法の解釈で理解できずにいるので、宜しければご教授願います。 besides being the land where all human beings originated, there have been many great civilizations there in the past. besides being a businessman, you are an actor. という様な文章なら、動名詞の意味上の主語と主節の主語が一致しているのが明確に理解できるのですが there is 構文を用いた例文だと、主語をどのように解釈すればよいのか分かりません。 私の疑問は、以下の点です。 (1)there is 構文の主語はどこにあると解釈すべきなのか？ (2)前置詞の後に来る動名詞の意味上の主語は、主節の主語と必ず一致しなければならないのか？ (3)一致すべきならば、この例文における、beingの意味上の主語はどこにあると解釈すべきなのか？ 一致しなくても良ければ、他の例文を教えて頂けると幸いです。 すごく細かいことに固執しているのかもしれませんが、是非宜しくお願いします。

ある問題で、 When we learn a foreign language it is necessary to advance step by step. という英文を動名詞を用いて書き換えよ、というものがありました。 解答には、 In learning a foreign language it is necessary to advance step by step. とあったのですが、ここで疑問に思ったのは、In our learning...としなくてよいのか、ということです。分子構文では、必ず必要なはずだと思うのですが、この場合はどうなのでしょうか。動名詞と分子構文は全く別のものと考えてよいのでしょうか。 そこを教えていただけるとうれしいです。よろしくお願いします。

It is the worst inhumanne act in war history that theU,S forces dropped two atomic boms in Hirosima and Nagasaki. 本文を不定詞及び動名詞で書き換えた場合、It is~in war history to have~./having dropped~.と表すのは問題ないかと思いますが、Having~ is the worst inhumanne act~. とするのはやはり不自然でしょうか？というのも、完了動名詞を文頭に置く文を学術書で散見したのですが、普段の書き言葉や口語ではそぐわないと考えるからです。 また、単にto do ,doingにすると、不定詞や動名詞は基本的に時制を明確に表すものではないことを考えれば、It is the worst inhumanne act in war history の時制は現在もそうであるからisであり、不定詞、動名詞を完了形にしなければならないと厳密には捉えるのですが。 追記で質問ですが、It's arguable that Resident Evil 4 is the closest a video game has come to being a perfect work of art.はgameの後に関係詞が省略されている構文でしょうか？「Resident evil4 は完璧な芸術作品に達した並外れたゲームだということには論争がある」のような訳になってしまうのですが。宜しくお願いいたします。
