米国の銀行に詳しい方お願いします。

帰国が決まっていたのですが、アメリカの銀行口座の残りが少なかったので、口座を閉じずに帰国しました。（もし、そのうちまたアメリカに行くことがあれば、便利かもしれないと思ったので。） すると、Service charge fee $10と、Continuous overdraft fee$30で計$40引かれ、もともと少なかったお金が、－$31になってしまいました。これは、口座を閉じないと、もっと請求されつづけるのでしょうか？それとも無視しておけばそのうち口座自体消滅してくれるのでしょうか？請求されても、日本の住所まで請求は来ないのでしょうか？教えてください。

こんにちは。 クレジットカードでの返金について教えてください。 ダイビングなどを売る会社なのですが、現地エージェントにダイビング費用を自分のクレカで支払ったものの、天候不良のため数日間の費用を返金してもらうことになりました。自分のVISAカードで返金の手続きをしてもらったのですが、いまだ返金されておりません。1月上旬に返金手続きをしてもらい、今月末に一旦全額引き落とされてしまいました。このお金はいつもどってくるのでしょうか？また現地では「返金を確認したら、該当金額をカードにチャージし、そうすればお金が口座に戻ってくる・・・」というようなメールが来たのですが、「チャージする」の意味がわかりません。念のためそのメールを引用します。どのように返金されるのかご教示下さい。 The credit will appear on your visa card balance. シティー銀行に外貨預金をしています。 ボンドで日本円にして約７０万円です。 利益目的ではなく、今度イギリスに行く時に使おうと思っていたのと、金利も良かったというのもありますが。（前に行ったときの残りをそのままにしていました。） ポンドが下がっているために今までの利息や為替利益なんか吹っ飛んでしまいました。でも、そんなことはあんまり気にしていません。 しかしながら、シティーが危なくなっており株価もゼロに近い。 国内預金ならこの程度のお金であれば、国が補償してくれますが、外国の銀行です。 破綻したら、全て吹っ飛ぶのでしょうか。 来週にでもおろそうかどうか迷っています。 詳しい方、どうか個人的見解で結構ですのでお教えください。 コツコツためたお金です。

年末にニューヨークに行きます。クリスマスが終わった２６日以降なのですが、金融街の銀行は普通に営業しているでしょうか？米国の金融商品のパンフレットを集めたいと思っているのですが、クリスマス・ホリデーだったら困るので、ご存じの方、教えて下さい。

ご回答ありがとうございます。 考えてみたところ、思い当たるところがあり、銀行口座を閉めた後使わなかったチェックを口座を閉めたので不要だろうと大量のゴミと一緒に捨ててしまい、それが不正に利用されていたのではないかと思います。 残高自体は０で強制的に閉められた後なので心配はないのですが、とりあえず連絡を取ってみようと思います。 アドバイスありがとうございました。
