英文訳(startの使い方)
ある問題集をしていたのですが、わからないところがあるので教えて頂きたいです。 文章の内容を要約すると(e-mailです) 「 先日の面接の結果、あなたを正社員として迎えたいことをお知らせします。 目下、私どもは人事部を再編中で、これには少なくとも一ヶ月はかかる予定です。 If possible, we would like you to start one month from this Friday. それが可能かどうかご連絡ください。 」 このような内容です。 それで、わからないのがstart one month from this Fridayの部分なのです。 解答訳には「今度の金曜日の一ヶ月後から」となっています(自分はこの部分が訳せませんでした)。 startではこのような使い方(start + 日にち ＝ ～後から始める)がされるのでしょうか? start in one month from this Friday とはならないのでしょうか(～後のinを使う)。もしこうなら解答訳のように訳せるのに・・・と思ったのですが。 辞書などを調べてもよくわからなかったため質問しました。 非常に簡単なことなのかもしれませんが、どうかよろしくお願いいたします。

例えば「試験は明日はじまる」は The examinations start tomorrow. といいますね。 このtomorrowのところがone month from this Fridayとなっていると考えてください。tomorrow の前に前置詞はありません。 start in one month ... だと、at any time within one month の意味になり「一ヵ月後」にはなりません。 I will finish it in a week.は「一週間以内」であり「一週間後」ではないですね。 ま、「一週間以内」というときは「一週間後には」というニュアンスが多いですから、one week froｍ の意味合いで in a month from などといったりすることもネイティブでもあり得るでしょうが、きちんと分けた方がいいでしょう。特にこの文では（仕事の開始日という重要日）この金曜日から「きっちり一ヵ月後」ということですから。 ... start one month from ... は通常の言い方です。 start working on the day (which is) one month from ... という意味で。

非常に単純な話です。 ただ単に外資系企業の人事では、startという動詞だけで、新しい職場で仕事を始めるという意味まですべて含めこんでしまっているのです。 したがって、startとone monthの間には、一切の関係がないと思ってください。start（仕事を始める）という動詞と、one month from this Friday(今度の金曜日の一ヵ月後から)が、だらだら並んでいるだけです。

「何々を通じて」の訳はviaやthroughを使うと思いますが、これは「だれだれを通して」のと言う時にに使えるのでしょうか？ via youやthrough youなどといえるのでしょうか？ たとえば、I recieved this message from some one through him(via him).
