parapet には要塞等の擁壁（防護壁）の意味もありますよね。さすれば、 情熱をもってこのデモに望み、奴らをおそれず（擁壁からしっかり頭を出し）、それでいて自らは冷静に対処しなければならんのです（感情的にな理不尽な行動はしない）。 という意味になりそうですね。
